While the cat's away contest…
Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

Daily Question (see contest information below): If you had the time and money and could go on any month-long summer adventure of your choice, what would you choose to do?

I’ll be on the road again on Thursday, heading toward Kentucky for Lora Leigh’s Readers Appreciation Weekend.

For those of you attending or in the area, I’d love for you to stop by and see me. There will be two booksignings—one for attendees to the mini-conference and one for the general public. Here’s the info:

Pullman Plaza Hotel
1001 Third Ave.
Huntington, WV 25701

Saturday, September 20th
Private booksigning for RAW paid attendees from 12 to 4 pm

Sunday, September 21st
Open-to-the-public booksigning from 12 pm to 4 pm

About that contest!
Now, I did promise a contest. This one will run Thursday through Monday. You may post as often as you like but only one entry will count each day. And the rules are easy. I’ll post a question; you post an answer here on my blog.

The prize will include a tote filled with books I scarf up at RAW and gifts from the writers attending the event. Take a look at the amazing list of authors who will be attending and get your appetites whetted for a great prize!

Africa’s one of my dreams too!!

    Jolene!
I get why you’d want to tour France. I lived for 3 years 15 minutes from the French border and spent many weekends there.

Went white water rafting this summer and had an awesome time, but don’t know if I could do it for a whole month.

I’ve always wanted to go down to New Zealand and Australia.

I’d love to go to Australia and NZ–just to sample the men!! Okay, that sounded icky, but you know I’ve alway had this picture in my mind of man in the outback…

    Icia!
It’d be great to see you at either one!!

    Rasha!
Oh! I LOVE Italy and have so many places I haven’t seen there yet. I’d adore spending a month with a backpack and a railpass there!

I would take my hubby to Japan or Ireland. They are places we have always wanted to visit. We like many Japanese things and the hubby is part Irish.

Japan would be very cool, and you’d love Ireland. I’ve spent a lot of time there (hubbys’ family lives there). Actually, hubby’s family likes me better than him, so I’m more welcome now that we are separated! LOL

    Cathy!
Ireland is great. I don’t get to do a lot of sightseeing there when I go. Have to make the rounds of the kinfolk, ya know.

    Shayla!
Maybe we can make that trip together someday!

Wow, the idea of going somewhere for a whole month. What a concept. That would be a hard decision for me. It really almost comes down to three options. One would be renting an RV and traveling the US and seeing everything, going to NASCAR races, book conventions, absolutely no time restraints. Ahhhhh the bliss. Another option would be staying in the mountains or on beach front property and just laze around, hiking, fishing, and reading to my heart content. My supply of books for any of these vacations would be endless of course. LOL Never can have enough books n my opinion. 😀

While I can’t imagine being anywhere but home for a month, I’d like for my family to see where we come from in Ireland. I find the land and the people fascinating.
