Another burning question…
Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

I’m heading to Dallas today to take the 4-year-old to her daddy, so I won’t get a chance to read your comments until tomorrow. You’ve got loads of time to be creative!!

If you could have any object or place in the world completely to yourself for one day, what would you choose?

I’ll let you know my choice tomorrow! ~DD

I don’t know. There are just too many things that would be great to have to myself. Though I’m sure Disneyland or World would be great I think I’d like something more exotic. Let me think on it.

Brandy and Diane! Thanks for offering your choices.

Okay, so I’m not a great big sappy romantic, but I’d love to have the Taj Mahal to myself for an entire day. Now, there’s a love story–he built it as a tomb for his dead love. But I’d spend the day taking pictures of the inscriptions, etc, and trying to come up with a way for him to use the tomb as a place of rebirth into another realm for them both. All right. I know, I can never just “be” in a place, I’m always scouting location. Sick writer me.

I’d love to have the Tower of London all to myself for a day. There’s so much history there and there are always too many people to really soak up the experience.

Hmm… for the more pedestrian, it would be fun to have free reign at Disneyland for a day with my family and friends 🙂 No lines!

For something more off the beaten path, maybe some of the sights in China–I had a chance to see some of the sights and views in Xian Huangshan and Guilin, but it would be incredible to have the freedom to explore them without as many fellow travelers 🙂

    Karin!
The Tower! Yes!! I’d love the have it to myself and wander through it–especially at night. I’d be completely creeped out, but can you imagine the stories I’d find?

    Fedora!
I lived in Melbourne, Florida and went to Disney World every time relatives came to visit. *shudder* The only way I’d ever go back is if I had it to myself. Now, China? I’d share that day with you.

    KH!
    Temple-hopping? I can see that.
