A burning question
Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

Everything’s moving along with the Dark Realm book. I’ve been doing timed writing with anyone willing to hang with me in chat! All I have for you today, is a quick question—another of my burning questions. I love asking them because then I get to learn something about someone else, and you know, we writers are perpetually curious (nosy)! I’ll answer the question in the comments later.

If you could float in a hot air balloon over any city or place in the world, what would you choose to float over?

A few places comes to mind Egypt and the pyramids, Australia anywhere and Napa Valley. I lived in Napa for a short time when I was in my late teens and absolutely loved it. I would love to see it from above with everything green and beautiful. I bet it would be just gorgeous.

Those do sound gorgeous, Brandy! I think if I had to choose one place, I’d like to fly over the polar ice cap. Don’t know why that appeals. It seems so barren, but I love the water, love clean white snow. And most cities I’d just as soon explore on foot than by air.

Delilah, I’m with you in wanting to explore the cities on foot instead of by air. Also, having flown over a few different cities, I was never all that impressed.

So, if I were to choose, I’d have to go with the Grand Canyon. I’d love to see what it looks like from the air without any of the sonic disturbances caused by helicopter rides.

My Mom loves to tell the story of when we went to the Grand Canyon. Apparently we got there and to where ever it is to look at it, my brother who is three years older says “We came here to look at a big hole in the ground” me being younger “Mom these people stink” It was a tourist group from overseas. 😀

LOL Brandy. That’s quite a story. I would’ve loved to see your mom’s reaction to both comments. I’m not sure I would’ve appreciated the Grand Canyon when I was a kid either. Kids always want something more exciting than a gigantic crack created by a river.

    Karin!
You know, I haven’t been to the Grand Canyon since I was very, very little and don’t remember it. I’d take that balloon ride with you! And your poor mom!!! LOL
