Cat Tails Poll #4: Cast your vote to win!
Saturday, October 31st, 2009

All winners will be announced on Sunday. So, be sure to cast your vote today,
then post a comment so I know who voted!

Last day, last poll—promise! And guess what the last question is all about…

Yeah, who’s our heroine? I don’t know about you, but when I start to dream about my story, it all starts with him. And I’m already jealous as hell of her.

I have to get over it. I know I can’t make him happy because I’m nowhere in the story. But I’m going to fall in love with him just the same. Don’t you want the people you love to be happy? She has to be perfect for him. Not that she’s going to be “perfect.” I’d seriously hate her if she was.

As I’m writing this, our bad boy hero is ahead by only one vote. Y’all were no help at all narrowing down that field of possible testosterone donors! So guess what I have to do? No, I’m not going to choose. I figure our girl will get romanced by the bad boy, but the local sheriff is going to be torn between duty to his pride and protecting the innocent woman from that other man. Maybe the two guys have tangled before over a woman. I’m not saying that they’ll share, but there’s the possibility now. Just depends on how this story progresses.

So who is she? You get to choose. Don’t leave me with an amibiguous answer again or I’ll have to hurt you!

Once again, vote for your favorite then post a comment so I know who voted! You’ll be entered to win a $10 gift certificate from Amazon.com! All poll winners will be announced on Sunday—tomorrow!!

What flavor of ROMANTIC fiction do you prefer me write for my next longer Kindle project?

  • Recently dragged from Hell, a powerful godlike dragon seeks to steal his old lover from the vampire king (43%, 24 Votes)
  • A teller implicated in a bank robbery seeks sanctuary from the small-town sweetheart she left behind who happens to be the new sheriff in town (39%, 22 Votes)
  • A disgraced female ex-cop seeks help from two former lovers, her ex-partner and a powerful sorcerer, to stop a murderous demon (20%, 11 Votes)

I definetly think you should be the heroine. I would love to see how hot and creative you can make this book with you in the spotlight. I really liked the reclusive author so thats what I voted for.

    Happy Halloween!!!!!

Sara! Oh! If I’m the heroine, both heroes will be frustrated with my curiosity.

Brandy! You remember my mushroom pics, right? The photog can get plenty distracted too. Although you know she’s gonna have to pull her camera out a time or two when hero isn’t looking.

Delilah, I love the way this story is shaping up, and it’s great fun to have a hand in it.

I voted for the woman who wrecks her car to protect the black panther.

It shows her sensitivy and concern for the panther. And now that she’s stranded it gives her time to meet one up close and personal…

I voted for the photographer. Just found that scenario most appealing, since I love to watch wildlife. Wouldn’t stalking a black panter be exciting???

Christiana! I’m very familiar with the hazards of wildlife on the road. I lived in Texas for nine years, and during that time I hit three deer and a turkey.

Caffey! I’m glad you’re having fun!

    Amy! Thanks for your vote!

Lisa! Wouldn’t it be fun to have a writer from the city think she wants all that isolation—and the chickens. The guys are going to have to help her out.

    Maureen! Thanks for your vote!

Sandie! I’m glad you’re having fun. The “sharing” hasn’t ended though. I’m going to be asking for titles!! So start thinking.

Carol! I threw down the traveler, thinking it would be a no-go. Who’da thunk y’all would like that one?!

Beverly! If it weren’t the fact of all those bugs—then yes!

Delilah, I voted for the recluse. Maybe she writes steamy prose to live out the fantasies she is too shy to take part in? I see her maybe being more comfortable with animals than humans and she has lots of cats roaming the homestead and maybe she catches a glimpse of the big cat while trying to catch a feral tom …, Just thinking out loud. Whatever you do it will be great, of that I’m sure. Thanks for being such a great role model!

Although I’d love to see you write a recluse, (way too shy and retiring for one of your heroines) I figured the wildlife photographer would be more of a threat to a shifter who is protecting his pride. Whatever you choose will be wonderful and I can’t wait to read it. 😀

I had a hard time trying to decide between the photographer and writer. I think you should combind them. LIke photographer/author who is on a lead, finds out she has inherited property from a distant relative in the area of search?

Even though I’d love for you to work your way into the handsome hero’s arms–if I can’t, you can’t either. So I voted for: Stranded traveler who wrecked her car trying to avoid hitting a black panther.
