First Magazine!
Saturday, March 20th, 2010

My first magazine story was published in the current edition of New Love Stories Magazine!

My story is a historical-paranormal romance. Could they have given me a less inspiring photograph to depict my little ghost story?

Ah well, it was maybe the first short story I ever wrote. It’s nice to be able to dust something off you thought would never see the light of day, submit it, and get a paycheck for it!

I’m home again. I arrived later than I should have last night because I got pulled over by a state trooper. He said, “Ma’am, don’t know if you realize it, but you were speeding.” I was tired enough I just shrugged and said, “Probably.”

I’m still tired, so guess what? I’m going back to bed.

“…Probably …” LOL! Did he take pity on you and let you out of it? Should have spun him the sob story of your days in the boonies :)

Rachel! He was a redneck. He likely would have taken offense if I had complained about Boonie-land.

Congrats on your short story being published in the magazine!!

There is definitely a story to be had with your being pulled over by the state trooper. I hope he was at least a cute redneck

Glad you made it home safe and sound. Get some rest, you deserve after your adventures in the boonies!!

    Sonya! Thanks, and I am!!

Savonna! He wasn’t a cute redneck. I have been pulled over in that same exact spot by a really cute black state trooper with shoulders and arms so big he could benchpress a 4-Runner. Him, I’d write about.

Rasha! I figured you got busy again. And I know you’ll pop your head up to say hello when you get a break. Have to call tomorrow to see how much I have to pay. Then I’ll get mad.
