Heard any good tunes lately?
Saturday, May 14th, 2011

I was in a girly mood the other night and downloaded several new songs to my iPod…

Familiar Taste of Poison by Halestorm
I Get Off by Halestorm
I Kissed a Girl by Katie Perry
S&M by Rhianna
Rolling in the Deep by Adele
Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri
And because I couldn’t download all the girlstuff without adding a little testo to the mix:
Diamond Eye (Boom-Lay-Boom) by Shinedown

The one getting the most rotation on iPod is Jar of Hearts, so I was curious about the video. I love it–up until the point the dancers come in. I love the incubus-like element to the story. I’m also suffering tattoo-envy.

So what are you listening to lately?

I’ve been listening to Ellie Golding. One of my favorite bands is The Pierces. Anna Nalick, Judas and Born This Way – Lady Gaga, Joss Stone, Paramore, Novelle Vague, Katy Perry’s ET is hot, and Butterfly Boucher Gun For a Tongue (who inspired a character in a short ff vampire) 🙂

Seriously, You Tube The Pierces – Beautiful Thing and give Butterfly a listen. She’s playing bass with Sarah McLachlan on tour right now.

I haven’t been listening to any music lately. When I do it is country that I listen to.

Tammy–I love old Sinatra, does that count? Country tends to bore me after I’ve heard a song or two. They all sound the same to me. 😀

Becky! My dd listens to country too, and tries to get me interested, but I’ve only got a couple of C&W songs on my whole iPod. I do love Johnny Cash’s version of Hurt. Does that count?

Love I Get Off. Halestorm is great. I listen to a lot of Linkin Park. My recent acquistions include Friday by Rebecca Black, a couple of SpongeBob songs and the entire library of songs from Adam Ezra Band. I love the new Lady Gaga song. It’s a total earworm!!

I’m really into Ellie Goulding and Doctors & Dealers that I found recently and now completely hooked on. This is one of the slower songs of hers but it’s beautiful..
