One-Day-Only Contest!
Friday, June 10th, 2011

I have tons of promo stuff that I brought back from Lori Foster’s. Today, I’m going to give away some of it! What do you have to do? POST A COMMENT—here or on facebook!

This is what the first bundle includes:

Autgraphed books:
Dragonbound by Jade Lee
Carpe Bead’em by Tonya Kappes
Escape by Kate Douglas, Willa Okati and Marteeka Karland (signed by Marteeka only)

Autographed drink koozie from Kristin Daniels

Assorted stuff (much of it autographed as well)…bookmarks, trading cards, excerpt booklets from:
Emma Wildes, Jade Lee, Marie Force, Leah Braemel, Jane Rylon, Leanna Renee Hieber, Madelyn Ford, Lila DiPasqua, Virna DePaul, Donna Grant, Zenobia Renquist, Samantha Kane, Krista Daniels, and Cheryl Brooks.

No doubt, I’ll throw some of my stuff in as well! So, what can you comment about? How about this?

By perseverance the snail reached the ark. ~Charles Haddon Purgeon

Which reminds me of my favorite joke. Okay, so it’s the only joke I ever remember, which is why it’s a joke my family teases me about. (I get gifts of snail figurines)…

What does the snail say as it rides the turtle’s back? Whee!

Sounds like you had a great time, with friends! I luv it! The snail hitching a ride. Reminds me of my kids, no matter how old they get, its still always, mooommy, I tired can you carry me? Pleease…..My 16 years old will just hang on me, and mumble. I can’t wait to to tell them, their just like snails. Next time they start complaining I’m going to tell them to go find a turtle, hehe, that should get them going! lololol

Cute joke, I love it! I am like you, I have a hard time remembering jokes. Is it a big or small snail figurines collection that you now have? I like the quote. To me, that quote means never give up no matter how long it take you can still make it.

Yep – Slow is as slow does. You’ll like this:
My sister’s recent facebook comment about her grandson – “I was spelling out his mom’s nickname for him when he’s slow (as in H-I-N-T) and I got to T-U-R … and he blurted out TURD! AHAHAHAHA… no – Turtle!”

LOL, too cute. I’ll need to share that with my kids. Funny thing is thinking of snails is making me think of slugs and I’m gagging and laughing because it’s making me think of our easter fiasco. It’s been raining so much here in California, that we were attacked by slugs. Filled all our eggs and sent my husband out to the yard to hide them. Took the kids out a little bit later and as they were getting eggs, one by one my kids started screaming ( I got all this on video :)) Every single egg was covered with slugs. I was laughing and gagging as my husband and I collected all the eggs and flicked them off and we brought them all inside just to discover that those little suckers all burrowed inside the eggs as well through those little tiny holes at the bottom of the plastic eggs. My kids were crying saying Easter was ruined and my husband and I spent the next hour opening each egg and dumping contents out while I salted the slugs and silenty cursed them for ruining our egg hunt 🙂

My youngest loves snails. She calls them all Gary, from Spongebob. Which is an ok thing, I guess, seeing as I get TONS of the critters come wet warm weather. One day, Zarahbeth and I counted 22 along the front stoop alone!!! They are cute….in a slimy, wiggly antenna sort of way. :p

We should all remind ourselves of that quote from time to time. So many times people rush through life getting from point A to point be that they don’t see the view. I once said that I thought pigs were cute and now I have tons of lil piggy figurines and only one of them I bought.
