Still covered up…
Saturday, October 15th, 2011

Well, I skipped my Diamond State Romance Authors’ chapter meeting today, intending to get some work done this morning, but got talked into taking my daughter and mom out on the art tour again. Daughter is doing better, in short spurts, so we only hit the guy who’s selling fusion glass. I picked up several pieces of small art, like bookmarks and pendants that I thought would make good giveaways here. He also had a shadow box that was decoupaged and had bits of things (photos, a small bird’s nest, etc.) that gave me all kinds of ideas for things I might want to try to do, so I bought it. Yeah, like I have time for any other artistic endeavors. 😕

Anyway, my butt is firmly planted in this chair for the next while. I have tons of work to finish, and a daughter who still needs some help with kids while she recovers, but I will try to do better about keeping you entertained here. I HAVE GOT to post the pictures from the animal refuge and from Romanticon. Those are coming. Promise!

Tammy, I know it’s a bummer when you can’t get around well, but my 92-year-old grandmother managed yesterday. We had to go slowly, but she loved looking around. Maybe you need someone to go with you and look out for you.

I can’t stand really crowded spaces anymore. I have panic attacks caused by feeling crowded and not being able to breath easy. This gets worse when I am sick, and considering I have chronic, year round allergies, this really sucks. I swear sometimes having even one other person withing touching distance is too much for me. Guess I am going to have to get my doctor to prescribe something for when it is really bad, lol.

I hope your daughter gets better soon. Hopefully she will be herself soon.

I feel for your daughter. I have an appointment with a specialist this week. I hope to get so relief. I hope your daughter does too! I love going to arts and crafts fairs. That’s why I usually avoid them! 😉

I have such a bad habit of picking up arty/crafty stuff planning on creating something then just forgetting about it haha or getting side tracked, usually by a book.

I dislike crowds so much, especially when people start getting pushy and rude, I always make space or move out of the way for older people/people with children/prams and such yet other people will just push in front because they are “in a hurry”. I could rant all day about it lol

Pass along the wishes for feeling better, and you know sometimes the Let’s go do something moments are the best.

Good wishes for healing, RHH! *gentle hugs*

Have a question…what exactly is fusion glass? Never heard of it before!

Today, took the whole fam damily to apple alley up in Ellijay, GA area. It was interesting dragging my 5 1/2 months pregnant RHH up and down the hills thru the apple trees. I think now she realizes I was not talking out my butt with getting her to exercise more. 😛 We did end up with a bushel and a half of apples to make apple sauce this week. Have to get more jars, tho. :p I’m also going to try and bake an apple pie!! wish me luck!!! NEVER done one before.
