The Authors After Dark Grab Bagszzz Contest…and a Question!

The Authors After Dark Grab Bagszzz Contest

Yes, bagszzz, as in three of these pretty nylon totes stuffed full of goodies!
There will be three lucky winners!

What’s in the prize packszzz?
Things too numerous to mention, but which include: author’s water bottles, note pads, nail files, koozies, bookmarks and trading cards, and tons of other kitschy stuff. Stuff you HAVE to have, including my mini bondage kits—okay, so they are office kits with paper clamps and twine to hang your Post-its, but I like the mini-bondage set angle better. And of course there will be books, some signed, some not. Whatever I could grab or was given to me to give away. Three winners will get a very nice stash!

What do you have to do to win?
Post comments on this blog from now until the contest ends! Each time you post counts as another entry!

This contest ends August 30th!

Here’s a question to start today’s conversation:

If you were offered five acres of property anywhere in the world, where would you want that property to be located? And no, you can’t turn it and sell it for something else. You have to LIVE there or vacation there for the rest of your life!

My DH watches too many disaster shows! After thinking about it further, I would need to get my 5 acres someplace not on a fault line, away from major cities, I need to be able to grow crops and have access to fresh water. Ugh! Don’t watch disaster shows!

I think after all the reading I have done I would want it in like Montana or maybe Colorado…hmmm the more I think about it the more I think I might like Alaska, yeah I’m going with Alaska. I think it would be pretty interesting to have a cowboy setting farm up in Alaska, with the cold and dark….yeah I would get behind that one!!

There have been a lot of good answers. It would be great if we could all get our five acres and then vacation on each other’s land. It would make for a heck of a vacation network!

I would probably get my 5 acres closer to my family. My sister is special needs, so my husband and I help my parents with her as much as we can. Not only that, but we really enjoy spending time with them. Thank you for such a cool contest!

I’m a summer baby and my roots are in the Caribbean, so I have to go with five acres in St. Maartin. I’d have no problem taking long vacations there! Sun, sand, sea, rum, and good reads!

I think I would like my 5 acres anywhere in the South. Maybe, NOLA or lower MS. As a born and raised a city girl from NY (not NYC) I would really like a chance to see how the other half live. I think the ranches & farms in the South would probably put my idea of a farm to shame. Not to mention the cost of living alone has got to be a relief!!

Mine would be in Scotland, but it would have to be on a cliff. I would go there to live because it’s a peaceful quiet place and with a cliff because I love cliff diving!!

I think that I would say Southern California. The weather is GREAT. At least where I live. It’s not too hot or too cold.

I need to increase my chances of winning. Although, really, it takes only once. But, Delilah, I love all of your books.

Not sure, Carin, but come the apocalypse, I think you’d be better off near water. Don’t think zombies can swim. Just sayin’

I also wouldn’t mind California in the wooded Northern area, and my house would be one of those ECO Friendly tree houses.

Alaska, in the middle of no where would be nice too! Are you noticing a pattern? I hate big cities where the house are so close together you could reach out the window and give a high-five to the neighbor in their house. Being a Military Family makes it hard for us to live anywhere but close to others.

After reading all of these wonderful suggestions on places to live, I still want to overlook the Puget Sound. However, I do like your idea of an eco friendly tree house, Laura. I could have an even better view of the Sound in one of those.
