So many of us on Christmas day are happy with our gifts, but sooooo over wrapping paper and tinsel. How would you like one last little surprise when you find that moment of peace to check out what’s happening on the Internet?

What can you win? On Christmas Day, I’ll give away an Amazon.com gift certificate worth $25.00.

What do you have to do to win? Simple. Comment on my blog. On any posting, between now and Christmas Eve. I’ll choose one winner at random from among all the comments. Good luck!

To get the conversation rolling, tell me what plans you have for the holidays!
Are you traveling, having company?
Are you going to have a quiet, snug celebration at home?

I’m having My grown sons over for Christmas dinner (the ‘baby’ is coming home from college for winter break)…I was going to say a ‘quiet’ dinner at home with my sons and husband but how quiet can it be with my three sons catching up with each other…lol…they all have my sense of humor so there will be alot of laughter!!!

Unfortunately we are too busy packing/weeding up 24 years of accumulated possessions to do anything for Christmas.

My husband and I are staying home. Our Kids all live a long ways from us in different directions. I have bought and sent all the gifts and received a few of the ones I’m told are coming. My husband is hard to buy for, but I think he will be surprised and happy with this years surprises. I haven’t been up to decorating as much as my husband wants( he’s unable to do much at all), but we will have a good Christmas anyway. Happy Holidays to All. 🙂

I am busy making my gifts. It is so much fun and keeps me out of trouble until I take a break and sign onto my computer. Then I see all the wonderful books and stories out there and well… Now you know why I make my gifts. 😉

We go to our daughter and son-in-law for christmas dinner and opening gifts. She lives about 30 miles away.Love to see our young grandsons when they open their gifts! As my daughter and family will be leaving Christmas Night for Florida to take a cruise, guess who will keep Archer, their maltese? I have his sister so it should be fun! Plan to read over the holidays! Merry Christmas Delilah and best wishes for the New Year

It will be kinda quiet here. It is just my other half, kids and myself. If I can talk my bother’s ex to let me half the kids for a few hours on Christmas then it might get a little loud. 😉 I am hoping she will let me take them. My parents are stuck on Prince of Wales Island and have to work. Along with my brother and sister. So no Really big celebration here. Just relaxed and taking it easy. Hopefully kicked back reading. 🙂 I have a huge list to make it through that never gets any smaller.

    Thanks.

No special plans for the holidays; all of our “company” from family and friends have been and will be taking place before Dec. 25. On the 25th my hubby and I will sit in front of a fire with a glass of something delicious and I’ll have my Yorkie, Maggie, on my lap. Probably have a homemade stew or soup for supper too. And we’ll watch holiday movies–old and new! What I call fun. 😉

I already had Christmas with my son and daughter-in-love in Denver last month. So basically I’ll be reading and watching Christmas movies. Popcorn, winecooler and lazy boy recliner. 😉

We don’t have anything other than dinner planned. We don’t do Christmas like most families. We buy some games or movies as a family gift and later about April time frame we go on a family vaca to build memories of fun times for our kids. Plus since my brush with the grim reaper we are awaiting a biopsy report and Denny hasn’t worked for a month now because he’s afraid to leave me as his job is usually out of state.

Looks like most of you will be spending the holiday with family—as will I. I hate the fuss of trying to travel when everyone else is traveling. Ilona, what the heck does under occupation mean? Sounds dreadful. Sorry you’re so stressed. DD

I just want to let you know that 3 years ago I saw a book of yours in the library and was entranced.Sadly the library had none of your other books and so I thought maybe that was all you had written. Then when I got my computer and one day was scrolling thru it and saw your name and it showed a website,I was so excited ,went Immediately to it and saw you had written a lot more books.I started ordering them and then realized that I needed to slow down and just 3 or 4 a month until I got caught up with all that you had written and so that is what I have been doing and I love it.I have enjoyed it book, some I have already read twice even though I just got them in the last 3 months lol, just couldn’t resist. Now the bad thing is when I get the rest of your books I will have to wait patiently till each new one comes out,but I will because I love them.I am so grateful that I found you on the computer and that you had a website that I could go to and get all the titles and then order them through Amazon. It has been a priveledge and I can’t wait till I have all the books. ps–I hope you are a lot younger than I am so that you will still be writing while Im still alive lol A Huge Fan

I’m doing a first for Christmas. I’m leaving tomorrow for a 2 week cruise with my parents over the holiday. We’ll actually be in Cartagena, Colombia on Christmas morning.

Can I survive 2 weeks sharing a cabin with them?!?

I am having to try to keep my family going this year. My hubby’s family will still have all the traditional gatherings and celebrations, but my family has lost the two most important people holding them together. Last summer I lost my mother (who was my best friend) and then this Sept, the day after her birthday, my grandmother past away. Not only has my father tried to become a recluse, but my family doesn’t seem to be getting together for the season this year…Who knew one person could tie everyone together so strongly?

Be sure to thank that person in your life this year for all the work and love they give your families.

I WILL BE SPENDING CHRISTMAS IN MY HOMETOWN. I MIGHT SURPRISE MY MOTHER WITH A BIG OLD-FASHION CHRISTMAS BREAKFAST, THEN LATER ON DROP BY MY FATHER’S HOME AND EXCHANGE GIFTS WITH HIM. WHEN IT’S NIGHT TIME I WILL DEFINITELY BE LOOKING AT GOOD OLD CHRISTMAS CARTOONS AND HALLMARK MOVIES 😉 😆 😀
