Winner and a Contest Reminder!
Monday, October 28th, 2013

I’m heading to the big city of Little Rock (just kidding, I think it’s only about 100k folks there!), but will be checking back in with y’all later this afternoon.

The winner of Saturday’s Flashback contest is…#14, Rachelle Lerner! Congratulations, Rachelle! I’ll be in touch to arrange delivery of your free download!

Don’t forget, everyone—my monthly blog contest ends this Thursday! Be sure to check out the rules (Pssst! All you have to do to win is comment on a blog!). Stuck for something to say about today’s blog? Just congratulate Rachelle. Or tell me how much you like or dislike Mondays! I sure hate this Monday, because I’ll be stuck in a doctor’s office having her read me the riot act about my weight. 🙁

Ugh. Nothing worse than getting that lecture from the doctor. I always love when mine says, “You know we need to discuss your weight.” No, really we don’t. Because nothing you’re going to say to me will come as a surprise. So let’s just fast forward and pretend we’ve already had the conversation, and we’ll both be happy.

I always hate going to the doctor and try to avoid it as much as possible. Hopefully your appointment won’t be too annoying.

My doctor doesn’t beat me over the head with it, but she always mentions something about walking in malls when the weather’s bad or something else helpful. Glad she makes the effort yet realizes that an adult can’t be harangued into doing something. Yes, we all know what we need to do…

congratulations Rachelle. Uhg, I hate Mondays, I’m more of a Friday person. And I don’t like doctors, I always have this fear that they will keep in the hospital overnight.

Congratulations, Rachelle. I so dislike Mondays that I overslept and almost forgot to get my children up in time for school. Then, the school called with a delayed start (bonus for me since we were all running late, anyway) due to a power outage. It had been raining all night and I hate rain. I asked the children if it was still raining so I’d know if they needed 🙄 🙄 me to drive them to school. No, no rain. It is snowing. Happy winter, everyone.

Weight? What is that? I finally stopped worrying about a word I don’t remember. I lost 80 pounds and gained back 25. I am now at a happy 200 and size 18 jeans so what is weight. It is as the scientist say, ” all relative-to what I don’t know.” Have a good day in the doctor’s office and I hope for you good news and compliments.

Nothing is worse than going to your doctor when you are overweight, diabetic and have a chronic pain disease like Fibromyalgia. My general practitioner is wonderful, but the pain management ones leave much to be desired. Both from well known universities, one told me to schedule surgery with him the next day! Less than 12 hours away! I sprinted out to the parking garage! The second doctor told me to stop taking medication and just do Thai Chi! UGH!! Mondays stink, and Tuesdays aren’t much better! Come on weekend! 😉
