A Question…
Wednesday, February 19th, 2014

If you follow my FB posts, you know I’m buried in commitments. Too many books due. Which leaves me little time to play or chat. That doesn’t mean I don’t pay attention to what you’re talking about. Here’s another chance to let your online friends (and me!) know how your mind works…

If an anonymous benefactor gave you $500 and told you it was yours, so long
as you told no one else you had it, and that you had to spend it in a day,
or even a single purchase, FOR YOURSELF, what would you buy?
It’s blow money. And yours. And you can’t put it against a bill…

If I couldn’t give it to my son for college, I’d by a new kindle and books to go on it!!! Oh yeah, and a laptop to write my books on (my desk top can’t travel so a laptop would be ideal!!!). ❗ ❗ ❗

I’d waffle between something electronic…and those fancy jeans or blouses that I can’t bring myself to blow money on, lol. It would be a nice dilemma to have!

I’d put it toward the deck I’m planning. I want a beautiful craftsman style deck with a pergola over the top and a bumpout for my grill 😀

I would by my entire wish list and cart from Amazon.com.

Its funny you should ask this question. Last night when I got to work I was telling coworkers that the Tim Horton’s Roll Up the Rim
(http://www.rolluptherimtowin.com/en/index.php ) contest had a prize of a $5000.00 Visa gift card that I would love to win just so I could spend it on books.

I have visual problems so I have been dreaming of a Kindle 8.9″ HDX and the remainder I would use on a Amazon gift card to use towards Kindle books. This would be a real luxury at my house.

If I had to spend $500.00 in one day I would buy jewelry specifically earrings. If I could spend it over time, I would get books, and then some earrings. 🙂 I love my books, but I don’t think I could spend $500. in one swoop, but I would surely give it a try given the chance. 😉

As I was reading that the first thing to enter my mind was to pay bills. However, you nixed it at the end. So, I buy some of the books high up on my wishlist. But then, I would take myself to Blackhawk and spend an evening gambling WITHOUT guilt! I love to gamble but very rarely do because I feel guilty spending money that could be put to better use elsewhere. So, a guilt free evening would be delightful.

I would love to spend it all on books but I think it would best to put in the handicapped shower for my dad so he can have a shower instead of a bath in bed.

If I couldn’t put it toward a bill, then I’d spend it on my Mom. She turned 85 last year and she really doesn’t get out. I’d love to hire car service roundtrip from the Bronx to Manhattan and take her to dinner and the theatre. I know she wanted to see Pippin, so it would either be Pippin or After Midnight. And of course I wouldn’t tell her where we were going. It would be the perfect Mother’s Day gift!

I’d reduce my wishlist at one of the online bookstores. Trying to think which one can be cleared by the addition of $500 😀

I would buy a kindle to use instead of the Kindle for PC and I would buy some more books or some of my craft items to start something new.
