A Question…
Tuesday, March 14th, 2017

It’s chilly outside! I know because last night my dd called me at 11:30 to say she couldn’t sleep. The neighbors dogs were barking incessantly, and she was anxious, checking the doors and windows. I bundled up and walked over to sleep with her. This morning, I escaped the craziness that is getting three school-aged kids ready and out the door. Brrrr, the walk back in the dark was cold, cold, cold!

So, let’s keep this easy. Here’s a question for you to ponder. You know you have pet peeves. Think about just one…

What particular personal habit do you find intolerable in other people?
What makes you nutty when you see it?

One thing that bugs me… seeing someone eat with their mouth open, my mom calls it eating like a cow.

This is a hearing one, not seeing… I hate hearing hacking – extreme throat clearing I guess you could call it. My hubby does it and it just makes me go ICK! I can understand it sometimes but it still turns me off big time.

I can not stand loud conversations on cell phones especially when we are in restaurants.

I get into a peeve finding our live-in cat owner’s cat’ fur balls in the garden bed – when I’m hand weeding!
Why can’t she brush the poor cat?!?

I am driven mad by people who have unnecessary repetitive hand gestures. I went to college with a woman who picked at her face but she wasn’t really picking she was actually just touching the same spots over and over again in a nervous gesture. I couldn’t stand to be around her when she would start up because I always wanted to slap her hand away.

Poor table manners are mine! My grandson likes to lick his spoon or fork. He’s 13 and knows better, and when I flash him “the look” he just grins. The 12-year-old can’t keep her elbows off the table. The 8-year-old chews with her mouth open. The 3-year-old still gets a pass…

When I eat out, I have special trouble with one thing: Watching people cut their meat first and put down their knife. You cut your meat, one bite at a time, even if it is tedious! Am I fussy much?

Oops – I’m one of those who cuts about half of my meat before I start eating. I’d better stick to pizza if we ever get a chance to dine together. 😳 😀
