Tell me a story… (Contest)

UPDATE: The winners are Colleen and Tamara!

* * * * *

Sometimes, I peruse photo sites without any particular purpose in mind. I find photos for projects I’m working on that I think might be used for covers. Then there are photos like the one below that I just can’t resist, because I know there’s a story waiting to be written.

While I go through old blog posts and find winners to contests I have to close out, let’s start a new one!

Tell me a story! Doesn’t have to long. Doesn’t have to be good. Have fun with it! And I’ll choose one winner to get a copy of Two Wild for Teacher, which comes out the 28th of this month!

    Hmmm, I see a goddess longing for love… She may be worshipped, but feels such loneliness… where is the one that can bring her soul to life?

    When she was a little girl, she saw a gypsy fortune teller at a fair and was told that her life would change drastically twice and both events would occur on blue moons. She didn’t know what that meant at the time, but looking back she knew this moment was what the gypsy foresaw. Looking at the wolf in front of her, she remembered the gypsy’s words and recalled the first event. Her parents were killed in a car accident when she was 13 and she found out that not only was she adopted, but that she was a hybrid werewolf. Her foster parents explained as much as they could, but being cat shifters, they didn’t know how it worked for wolves. They figured she would stay human as long as she didn’t run into her mate. As the wolf slowly approached her under the light of the blue moon, she knew her life was in for another change. The closer the wolf got, the more her skin tingled. When the wolf sat at her feet and licked her hand she closed her eyes started by the lust that was suddenly overtaking her. When she opened her eyes, she found herself at eye level with the wolf and nearly fell over when she looked at herself and saw she was a wolf too. She did land on her butt when she heard a suprisingly deep and husky male voice in her head say, “You are a beautiful wolf, my mate. I have searched my whole life for you. I can’t wait to teach you about your wolf.” As I looked back at him, I remembered the gypsy’s parting words: “When the second blue moon finds you, your fate will be sealed with a love that is wild and true and will last until the moon no longer shines.” Instincts I didn’t know I had woke up and I replied to him, “You might have found me but you haven’t yet caught me.” Then I turned tail and took up at a full sprint into the woods, and heard his laughter in my head, and thought to myself, ‘This is going to be fun!’
