While The Cat’s Away Countdown – Day 6…

September’s Moon is the Harvest Moon. According to The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Wicca and Witchcraft, it’s “a time of protection, prosperity and abundance.”

There’s energy in this month. It’s time to harvest grain—which translated means September’s a time of prosperity. Winter’s beckoning, but for now you can celebrate.

I’ll be thinking of you. And missing my daily blog. Maybe. Depends on how well the ladies and I get along. Six days of togetherness? Don’t they say that three days is the rule—after which company and socks begin to stink? I know I mucked that one up, but you get my drift. Can’t wait to share pictures!

Went on a trip for 10 days with my friends and some of our kids. BIG mistake, BIG. Way too much togetherness. Thank God our 20 plus year friendships remain intact, although I think it was at least a month before we got together again.
Hope your having a great time. You can deal with the weeklong hangover when you get home.

10 days! Yikes. The ladies were saying it’s a full moon and we should all get drunk.

LOL! I’m not sure–I think up to week can be OK, depending on who you’re with and whether you’ve planned some apart-time as well as together-time! Otherwise it sure does get hard after a bit! Hope you’re all having a terrific time and feeling like you can’t bear to leave each other 🙂

I heard somewhere that you girls have been sipping a lot of margaritas. Have fun.

I hope you all enjoy your time together. I took a trip in June with two of my friends from college and had a mostly good time, though I did overhear one of them call me a bitch once. It’s a good thing I had a few days where I spent most of the day away from them, though, or I’m not sure we’d still be friends. I definitely won’t be taking any trips with them again.

In all honesty, as much as I love my family and friends, I don’t think I (or they) could stand that much closeness. As long as there’s lotsa hidden areas that we can use to get away from each other, then we might not end up killing each other.

OMG! I am having the best time!!!!! Sasha White, Sylvia Day and I decided to take a canoe ride around the lake. We didn’t even get pushed off the shore before we dumped it. Sylvia said, “Fuck this shit–it’s cold!” But we were all laughing so hard. Sasha and I decided to go ahead and try it again. We made a circuit, came back–and since we were already soaked, decided to swim. Of course, the rest of the authors were standing on the deck, laughing hysterically.

🙁 Today the ladies all headed home except for Sasha and I. We’re staying with a cousin of mine in West Seattle. Looks like we will be going to the Underground tonight!
