Sometimes, a fresh perspective…
Monday, January 4th, 2010

Or maybe just a change of location. Yesterday, my friend Shayla Kersten asked me to meet her in Little Rock for a “Write-in”. She was having a hard time getting back into writing gear after the holiday. We settled in with our designer coffees next to a window so we could watch the weather (snow was forecast) and proceeded to slam pages of our latest Works-in-Progress. I always have my camera handy.

We set up in the far corner in the back next to an outlet.

Shayla played coy.

As always, I grimaced for the camera.

We both made terrific progress. I began a little free read for Samhain (I haven’t found the right title yet) and made it half way through the story, stopping to share snippets with Shayla when I couldn’t stop giggling.

Today, I’m back home. Kim Kaye Terry and I are supposed to sprint (slam pages as fast as you can) later this morning. I’ll do anything to make the actual work of writing more fun.

The problem with that corner of The Coffee Beanery is that it is SO TIGHT. Not a lot of space, but glad you got pages done.

    Good morning & Happy writing.

It does not matter how you get from Point A to Point B – along as you get there. Progress in any way is always good.

    Way to start your 2010!

I can’t wait to read your story! I had so much fun with just the snippets you read to me! *cackle*

And I need more kicks in the pants. Since the snow came today, I didn’t go to the evil day job but I’m working remote. Plan to do some writing soon. I’ll log on. If you’re around, I’m up for more!

Shayla! I haven’t started writing today. Had daughter underfoot trying to finish up online homework. And then I had adminstrivia to handle with the workshop. But I’ll be ready shortly to slam!

Hay DD change is always a good idea and am happy you had Shayla for company. If anyone knows what a slumb feels like its me 🙁 Trying my best to clow my way out.

Do not have any ideas for the metaphysical theme I am sorry but I do know that this year is the best year for the Cancer sign and low and behold, the United States is a Cancer sign! I do hope this is good news for everybody.

I occasionaly listen to a Lebanese astrologist, Carmen Chammas, who is super accurate in her predictions and has a website where you can hear her predictions in English. Hope this helps

Lisa! Thanks so much! I like it too. It’s so much easier and doesn’t require any product so it’s super-soft.

Rasha! Thanks for the recommendation for the astrologist. I have been paying attention the predictions and how favorable everything looks for us Cancers. I’m hoping for good things this year!
