Winner…and new Dark Fairy Contest!
Monday, May 2nd, 2011

The name of the winner of the Queen of the Kitchen spoons is at the bottom of this posting!

Good lord, more storms last night—although it did feel portentous given who fell last night (HE, whose name we shall not speak here). It rained and rained and rained. Lightning cracked in our front yard and the power fluttered off then on. I’m hoping school buses can get through the water…

Like the necklace? It’s not very expensive, but it did catch my eye. It’s beaded, and the pendant is a painted ceramic with a picture of a pretty, dark fairy. If you want a chance to win it, you have to post a comment on my blog. If you want more than one chance to win, come back and post every day over the coming week. The winner will be announced next Tuesday!

To give you something to talk about when you do post today, here’s a question…

Aside from any family, friends, or pets,
what would be the most difficult thing for you to give up in your life?

The winner of the Queen of the Kitchen spoons is…Tammy Ramey! Congratulations, Tammy, and be sure to send me an email with your snail mail address.

Hey Delilah! It’s been a while since we talked.

As for I find most difficult parting with is my books. When I was young, I used to think “Wouldn’t it be great if our books were in electric format? Think of the trees we could save.” Now with the emergence of the e-reader, I dread that thought as I love the paper format.

I am happy that you are going begin working on SOW. Have any of the documents or books I reccomended been helpful?

    Congrats Tammy!

My e-reader would be the hardest thing other than the above named. It wouldn’t be easy, but I could probably live without the car. I really don;t think I could go anywhere without all my books.

Thank you for the great chance to win Delilah. i think i have to agree with most everyone else that my books would be the hardest thing to give up. but i also hae to include my pens and notpads because i have about a bazillion ideas for books written down and i would be lost without my notepads and pens that are literally covering every surface of the house.

I love the necklace. The hardest thing to give up would be my computer/internet connection. In the past it would be my books, but since I can get my books on line, I could adjust. LOL

My books. I honestly don’t think I can part with them. Over the years I have gotten into many arguements with my family and boyfriend about the exessive amount that I have. I just can’t part with them.

Books seem to be a common theme! Good for me!! I’d have to have a computer. I can’t imagine not being able to write my own stories to keep me entertained.

what would be the most difficult thing for you to give up in your life?

Well, seeing how I had to go on insulin with my last baby, and had to give up a lot of certain foods, that is not a concern. What I WOULD find difficult to give up would have to be my Nook. I take it with me EVERYWHERE! Even the library. I even take it with me when hubby and I go walking! It stays in the car, tho. 😉 Hubby walks more laps than I do, so I have time to sneak in a read.

Hi Delilah! Love the necklace 🙂 I would have to say the hardest thing for me to give up would be buying books. I haven’t been able to buy any books for the past few months because money is really tight these days. I also would never be able to give up my computer, because with out it I would have no life at all! (and I had a heck of a hard time giving up chocolate for Lent, but the 1 pound solid milk chocolate bunny I got on Easter made it all worth it!)

Definitely the computer/Internet! Contacts, research, books, entertainment, shopping, work–pretty much information overload if you let it.
