Remember: The Believe Fairy Contest is ongoing! Post a comment to win!

* * * * *

Just keepin’ it simple today. The little ones are out of my hair. It’s time to get back to work—nose to the grindstone, fingers ground to the nub—

Okay, I’m typing more than I wanted to already! It’s like diarrhea of the mind!!!! Let’s go to the question…

What was your best excuse when you were pulled over for speeding?
Or what do you wish you’d said instead?

    This was an honest reply. I told the officer my speedometer was saying 10 mph less than he was clocking me. Since it was a ‘new’ used car, he told me to get it fixed right away and let me go. Honesty sometimes can be the best policy. :mrgreen:

    But I haven’t been pulled over for speeding…. yet. Now clocked for it by those dippy vans that park illegally and shoot the camera flash in pitch black trying to blind you and cause an accident… yes. But then they just mail the ‘ticket’ and umm I ignore. Its my one bad thing. 🙂

    I have never been pulled over but a friend of mine was driving down the interstate and everyone was passing her but she was the one who was clocked and pulled for speeding. When the trooper asked her if she knew why she had been pulled over she asked him if it was because she was the only one he could keep up with. He laughed but she still got a ticket.

    I have never been pulled over for speeding. I tend to drive pretty close to the limit (sometimes less, lol). I don’t know what I would say, I would probably start crying over the thought of how much the ticket would cost (it would ruin my book money) and hopefully the cop would feel sorry for me, or be scared I was having a breakdown, and let me off with a warning.

    I asked the cop if he had called it in to Control yet. He said he hadn’t and wanted to know why. I told him I was married to a policeman and I didn’t want him to know I got pulled over. He let me go.

    LOL!!! I wasn’t pulled over for speeding but because the police officer thought I was driving way to careful (+ a minor broken tail light)…. once he saw I was a few weeks away from giving birth – he understood completely why I was driving so very carefully – there was precious cargo on board… I think he just wanted me to go quickly just in case of an emergency delivery…

    You must have been reading someone else’s speed…. it wasn’t me.

    I don’t speed. I’m one of the people you get caught speeding trying to pass. Sorry about that.
