A Question…
Sunday, October 14th, 2012

With several days of intermittent Internet (love the alliteration!), I can safely say this is the biggest downside to living in the country—for me. I feel like I’m held hostage by the weather. I’m on satellite, and anytime cloud cover gets thick, the signals being passed between the satellite and my dish get interrupted. I can’t Facebook or Tweet, can’t check my email, can’t check to see how Tarzan & Janine is doing on Amazon…

But I do have plenty on my desk to take care of while I wait for a window in the clouds to open up so I can scramble and get a blog posted. I have books to write, pages to critique, submissions to read. Plenty, plenty…

Have you seen how well Tarzan & Janine is doing?

Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to post a review. And thanks for clicking on those “Likes” and “Tags”. Sis and I are truly appreciative. And since you seem to like the book so well, it’s a sure bet we’ll be working on getting the next book out very soon. It’s written, but needs some revision. Shouldn’t take us long.

And thanks to everyone who voted and posted comments regarding the cover for Shattered Souls. My editor and I have been back and forth about it. I think we have something we love—all because you swayed me from my stubborn course!

Here’s today’s question. Have fun with it!

If you could have a free meal at any restaurant in the world, regardless of price,
which restaurant would you choose? What would you order?

The resturant I would choose would be Morton’s Steakhouse. I’m not sure they are world wide but know they have several in many highpaced cities. First I’d start with their bacon wrapped Scallops (yummy) then I’d order my Ribeye steak with sauted mushrooms, baked potatoe with all the fixings and their steamed Asparagus that comes with a hollidaise sause to die for. By this time I’m as full as the Goodyear Blump but I would end this meal with the lemon chiffon soufflee w/their homemade whip cream…(give me a moment I have to wipe my computer screen with my drool) The Souffle has to ordered when you first sit down because it takes about a hour to bake buts its worth the wait. Sorry I got a bit long winded but haven’t indulged myself in a meal like this in about a year, hoping to rectify that in a couple of week when I head to Las Vegas, NV for some good old PBR World Finals.

Any of the little Italian places you find in New York City. I had the best meal there when I was in town for a trade show. I would order calamari to start with angel hair pasta and shrimp for my main course. MMMMMMMM – now I’m hungry.

I’d have to think too long to go world-wide but here in Little Rock, I think I’d choose Sony Williams. Big steak medium rare with lots of steamed veggies. And a good wine. Hmmmm.

Mine will is simply Outback Steak house. I have never been to one. I kind of want to see what all the hype is about.
I dont eat out much. I like to make my own meals. Eating out is for a specail occassion and if we have that extra funding.

I would love to eat at Ming Tsai’s Blue Ginger restaurant. I can’t have anything with wheat or gluten and don’t eat out much where I live because of it. Blue Ginger is an allergy friendly restaurant.

    Congrats on Tarzan & Janine!

If I could, I’d like to have dinner at the Windows on the World restaurant, formerly on the top floor of the World Trade Center. The food was good but the view was spectacular. I wouldn’t order rack of lamb this time although since I was only about 11 last time, maybe I’ll appreciate the lamb now.

Y’all have made me very hungry indeed! If I had my choice of any restaurant in the world, it would be a small hole-in-the-wall Mexican cafe in Boerne, Texas called “Maggie’s”. It had the best menudo, pico de gallo and tripas I’ve ever had. I miss those flavors so much!

I can honestly say, I don’t know. Altho, the dinner hubby and I had while on our honeymoon was pretty awesome. It was a selection of ribs at Tony Roma’s in the Bahamas. Have never had the like since.
