SEAL Plotting Orgy (Contest)
Sunday, September 28th, 2014

UPDATE: The winner of this contest is…Lisa C!

* * * * *

Thought the word orgy in the title might catch your attention.

I’m in the midst of trying to get three projects out the door. One of them I haven’t even started yet. Why? I don’t have a clue what to write.

I’m stuck for an adventure for my next SEAL hero in my Uncharted SEALs series. Here was the premise of the first story:

WATCH OVER ME

When Deke Warrick accepts an unsanctioned detail to keep tabs on a congressman’s niece while she vacations in the Caribbean, he expects the only dangers he’ll face are sunburn and a rum hangover. Determined to keep his distance, his resolve is challenged by a chance encounter with the beautiful Nicky Martir—and then shattered when she’s snatched from their hotel room.

The next story will also be a novella, so no long convoluted plot. Something simple and quick, with opportunity for nookie. Seems simple, right? Let’s see how simple you think it is after you get done trying to come up with one idea.

Contest Challenge

That’s all you have to come up with. One idea. And you know what? Give me the outrageous ones too that you know I won’t be able to use, because this is a brainstorming idea and no idea is a bad one when you brainstorm. So, if the best you’ve got is “Hero lets himself be kidnapped by aliens to rescue heroine who has been taken”—go for it! 🙂

The only help I will give you? I have a title: Rules of Engagement.

What’s up for grabs? How about I let you choose. Winner can choose any book of mine available in download form. And guess what? I won’t choose the best idea. I’ll let my trusty random generator choose the winner. So for realz, y’all–give me an idea. Even a dumb one. Even a funny one. You have fun with this.

And after I have a list and have culled it a bit, maybe I’ll put together a poll… No guarantees I’ll use any of your ideas, but maybe you’ll spark a fire in my imagination.

    Good morning Ms Delilah
First thank you for the chance
Naturally I’m all over the place and one isn’t the only thing coming around
But to the point, when Deke rescues Nicky back ( cause he will, we know , can’t have him not ).. there will be rules in place because shes not gonna leave his sight again without him now … she’ll probably fight him a lil because she doesn’t follow rules like that but she’ll comply be cause she wants to .. so it’ll be more like a contract between the two .. a lesson (since he only thought itd be a detail with sunburn and rum ) for him and an experiece for her …

    can’t wait xoxo

Ok here we go Rules of Engagement: SEALs are brought in to take out a target who is involved with drugs, human trafficking, and has ties to a terrorist organization. They are forewarned that the target has a new shipment in and if they can bring it in as well as any new intelligence it would look great for them and the country. However when they get there they realize that the shipment was of women and one of the SEALs recognize one as a friend to his younger siblings.

    Hopefully that works lol

Deke meets Nicky in the hotel bar (inside or outside). They get super cozy and Deke doesn’t realize they are under surveillance. Once they get back to her room, (insert bad guys name) breaks in at a most delicate moment and knocks Deke out, taking Nicky. Only when two of his Seal buddies come rushing in does he realize he’s not the only one sent on this mission. Another buddy has followed the bad guys and Nicky so they load up and go get here. Once they get back to the hotel, Deke teaches Nicky the Rules of Engagement…. 😈

Argh, y’all! Nicky and Deke’s story was the first volume. I’m trying to write a sequel. It doesn’t have to be their follow-on story. It can be a completely new couple.

Sillie, Angel and Lisa, you pretty much nailed the premise of the first story. 🙂

    Here’s mine:

SEAL guy is at a party and sees the woman of his dreams. She is being hassled by someone and he steps in to help her. Like a game of telephone, it starts going around the party they are engaged. SEAL guy’s enemy hears about the engagement and go after SEAL’s gal. He moves in to protect her and voila, it’s love!!!

A new terrorist group is on the rise. Intelligence believes stealing its holy symbol, located in the center of its small country, will be enough to dismantle the terrorist cell. The Seal teams’ rules of engagement are clear, enter the country, retrieve the symbol, and let no one know who you are. Only, this “holy symbol” is a beautiful woman who entices the entire team to break the rules.

    Another idea!
A rescue mission gone bad finds a Navy Seal alone, trying to make his way to friendly territory. With an entire country searching for him, his only hope is the lovely daughter of the teams, now dead, local contact. Give in to temptation, or break the rules of engagement along the way?
(Do we get to entire twice? Who cares, coming up with Navy Seal ideas is a good desk avoidance activity.)

What about an injured SEAL (nothing too serious) comes home, can’t go back on active duty yet, even though he’s done with PT until he can pass his PT evals (needs to build his endurance and strength in whatever injured area–say shoulder or whatever). He’s balls-to-the-walls with it and practically living at the gym (being very antisocial, tunnel vision etc) when a friend/sibling suggests working a side job–they know an event planner/coordinator (would be a play on words with ‘engagement’ who is short handed… he’d do grunt work. The chick could be the ‘married to her work’ type that also has tunnel vision on her job.

How about the niece is there for the wedding of a friend only her overbearing boyfriend takes it upon him self to kidnap her and then force her to marry him. He needs the connections her uncle can get him. The girl is not series with this wack job and needs rescuing.
She on the other hand wants to take things in hand herself (and squeeze hard). So when she starts in on the creep, the “SEALs arrive.

They continue to clash until, the wack job locks them in the safe house and sets on fire. ( if I can’t have her no one can).

They are rescued because of his skills and maybe a little help from friend. 😯
