Well, I finished a book yesterday—well, a novella anyway! Yay! It’s called Rules of Engagement and involves a Navy SEAL, and it’s related to my Lone Star Lovers series… I love Two Mule, Texas so it was natural my SEAL came from there. Not that there’s any kinky threesomes in this story. My guy is strictly a one-woman man. Can’t wait for you to read it, but you’ll have to wait until the Winter of SEALs box collection releases next month.
It was a huge relief finishing it before I leave for the NINC conference tomorrow. I still have work to do while I’m there, mostly editing, but no hard deadlines for a little while. I can breathe again. When I return, I have to knuckle down to finish another story due very soon. How did I get myself backed into a corner with so many stories to finish before the end of the year?
So, I’m thinking about hanging out a shingle to offer editing services to other writers. Anyone have any experience doing that? Any advice to offer? I’ve run a critique group since 2003. I’ve edited for Cleis since 2009. I do think I have a lot to offer. When I lay down my schedule for the new year, I’ll need to consider how I’ll organize my time.
But that’s not the question. I know there are people out there, like me, who are busy and up to their elbows in work all the time. And then there are folks who are able to break away at the drop of a hat to go shopping with friends, take a vacation, whatever. The point is some people either have a natural knack for time management or maybe they blow off their commitments to have fun.

I love to read so I will always find time to read. Whether it be riding down the road, sitting at a doctors office, etc. I like to keep busy and play a lot of games with friends, get involved in activities with grands and great grands.
Yes, I do still work. I don’t think my husband and I ever thought we would get old.
I will always find time to read. I think being an editor or proof reader, would be great. Something you have to take seriously, as the book would depend on accuracy, content and flow.
I am not a shopper. I do look on line however, as I while living in North Dakota, didn’t want to drive a 100 plus miles to get to a shopping mall. So much easier at Christmas to pull up a site, see if they have free shipping and send it off. lol
I love the sound of the new book or novella. Will love reading it I am sure. 😀

When my kids were young, I was mom, team mom, scout leader, room mother, etc. I also ran a home child care center in my home. With 3 children of my own, I was always running. Books went everywhere with me since I did lots of waiting for someone. Now I’m loving the slower life. My kids are grown, my husband works out of town so he’s not home much and I only have one grandson with me all day since the other three are in school. Reading is still my biggest passion……outside of my family so I’m happy with a much slower life. During those younger days, organization was the key. The busiest people I knew were also the first ones to step up and help out where needed. I’m still sad that the Cub Scout Pack at the elementary school folded because no parents stepped up to keep it going when the leadership moved on as their boys grew up.

Retired at the end of 2012 after working since I was 15 yrs old. And just let me say, I have never looked back, Retirement, if you can afford it, is totally awesome. We’ve discovered that it doesn’t take near as much money as we thought it did. We both love being at home, which is way out in the country on a gravel road, and we like each other so it’s been an amazing time for us. Now if I could get my kids and grandkids to grow up and handle their own problems, life would be perfect. 👿

I love to read. I have just started a new job where I get paid more money to work less hours its the perfect job for me. I still get to be a Security Guard which I love and get some free time to do my thing which is read and watch TV I have my favourite shows that I try to watch either at the time they are on or online. Although there are times when I have more books than time I do try to give my spare time to reading when ever I can.
