My iPod needs fillin’!
Saturday, December 12th, 2015

My old Nano bit the dust a while back, and I’ve been slow to replace it. Kinda missed playing tunes when I drifted off to sleep at night. So now, I have this pretty gold iPod Touch and all my old music. Which is nice. The sound is great. But a new iPod deserves new tunes, don’t ya think? Since I share my music with my dd and her daughters I keep their tastes in mind, too. So, while I added Macklemore’s Downtown (so funny!) and Disturbed’s The Sound of Silence for me, I added Adele’s Hello, Elle King’s Ex’s and Oh’s, and a couple of Ellie Goulding’s and Taylor Swift’s new tunes.

So, help me out. What have you been listening to lately that you love?

And while you’re thinking, enjoy the video!

I’m hooked Papa Roach’s song Face Everything And Rise (F.E.A.R.) and Gravity. And I am loving What Are You Waiting For and The Light by Disturbed. My latest find is Absolution by Incubus. Good luck filling your iPod!

I’m totally blown away by Adele’s new one. I’ve listened to Hello so many times.
While driving I’m listening to a Greatest Hits CD from the original Eagles. All the good old Eagle hits from my day. Guess that kind of dates me huh? But they’re so soothing and their voices harmonize so well. Other than that, I like I’m Gonna Love You Like I’m Gonna Lose You. At the moment I can’t remember the girls name but she sings it with John Legend. She’s the one who sand All About That Base. What the heck is name?
Anyway, that’s about it for me.

Meagan Trainor. That’s her name. Just about the time I clicked submit comment it clicked in my brain.

I love Buckcherry (but probably not for the girls!), Pink is awesome, and just about any movie score by Hans Zimmer (some of them are perfect for writing to). 🙂

I don’t remember to turn on the music as much as I should. Most of what I’ve been hearing and/or enjoying is quite seasonal and older than I am. The first is Bing Crosby singing White Christmas. It’s a reminder of all the folks who give up their holidays and family times to keep our world a little safer, God bless ’em. The second is a bit more obscure and humorous if you can get past the minor detail it’s dated. It’s I Yust Go Nuts at Christmas by Yogi Yorgesson.

Saint Motel is kind of fun to listen to. I like Chris Cornell, too.

I have an Amazon Echo and Prime account. I’ve been using it to listen to a lot of Christmas music lately. My new favorite is That’s Christmas to Me by Pentatonix – it’s great!

Silversun Pickups Nightlight and The Wknd (? Not sure I spelled that right) I Can’t Feel My Face…and I was recently checking out the XM xmas channels and heard Straight No Chaser sing the Christmas Can Can. Had a good fun laugh at that one.
