Success is achieving your goals or making progress towards longer goals, whatever those are for you. It could be relationship goals, professional goals, whatever makes you happy and doesn’t hurt other people in the process. Like robbing banks. 🙂

You don’t have to enter me for the story. I just wanted to answer the question.

Success to me – even if you aren’t achieving a goal, is making it through hard times (emotional, financial, personal, whatever) even when you don’t think you can.

Life is difficult (for some people) many with trials and tribulations to over come. Many people who suffer from mental illness, or health problems, family issues and so much more.

Sometimes just managing to get through the day or even the next five minutes is a success.

For me, it’s getting at least 2/3 the way through my daily To Do list. 👿

Success is so different now than it was when I was younger. I’m retired and that is a big success in my book. Being able to retire and be financially stable enough to pay all our bills and have a little left over for fun stuff.

Success is enjoying your life and being happy with where you are and what you have.

Simple answer is happiness. If a person is happy within their lives. They have the greatest success in the world.

I feel it is when you are happy with what you have done or accomplished.

I have to agree with what Shirley Long said.

In addition, I was fortunate to have a successful career and that was great because it allowed me to retire fairly young and has provided me with the funds to do things I didn’t take time to do when I was young.

    (Don’t enter me.)

Success is accomplishing what you set your mind to whether big or small. Reaching your goals. Marking things off of the to-do list. Today I was successful in marking nearly half of today’s to-do list off so far: sink full of my dad’s dirty dishes clean, fixed his lawnmower, mowed his yard, cooked 3 different meals for him to reheat, finished the book I was reading over lunch, took out his trash, and now I’m updating and defragging his computer!

Success is accomplishing what you set out to do. It does not matter how long it took you or whether you made mistakes along the way. It means you did it your way with or without help to accomplish the goal/project, you set for yourself. It can be large or small, if you did it, you did it. Success.
That is my definition of success.

This is an “itty bitty question?” “What is your personal definition of the word SUCCESS?” These days it is the simple act of getting out of bed every day.

Tamara’s list of things for a successful day made me tired just reading it! She’s my winner. Tamara, email me at delilah@delilahdevlin.com and let me know which of my Night Fall stories (https://www.delilahdevlin.com/night-fall-series/) you’d like to read!
