Story Cubes — Tell me a story (Contest)

UPDATE: The winner is…bn100!
*~*~*

Let’s get this party started!

I bought this little brainstorming tool years ago at some writers’ conference. I’ve used it only three times—here! “Story Cubes” is a brainstorming game. You roll the dice and whatever pictures appear, face up, are the ones you use to riff off a story.

To make this fun, I’ll offer a prize—a $5 Amazon gift card—good for purchasing one or two stories…

Have fun with this! Don’t overthink! Here’s the roll…

Like many princesses, I craved an adventure that would take me outside my privileged life. Far away from my city, my people and my royal confines. I considered my predicament and tried to puzzle out a plan of escape as stared at wave after wave rolling onto the shore.

(That’s my start. Hoping someone can pick it up and finish it for me. 😊)

A backpacker was on her way to a safari when she was stranded on the side of a road. A king on an elephant came by eating a bowl of rice.

She was sent by her king to far off lands to spy. Never did she think she would have so many exciting adventures and FOOD! Sadly, her plot to spy was uncovered by some unsavory types and she had to make her escape on elephant and by submersible! What an exciting way to climb the social ladder!

It was puzzling how I wound up on the river bank with only an elephant for company. As I looked out at the palace, I realized I was hungry and found a nice steaming bowl of rice in my bag. Now I just needed a ladder to break in to the palace and retrieve my crown. But first to cross the water.
