One Craptastic Night — Puzzle Contest
Saturday, September 12th, 2020

UPDATE: The winner is…ButtonsMom!
*~*~*

This will be short. I have to get my left hand back into an Ace bandage. Dummy me, last night I ran into a large rock in the dark and fell on my face. Or sort of fell backward over the boulder and twisted and landed on my face. It felt like a slow-motion fall—you know, the kind in the movies with the long, loud, “Ooooh Nooooo!” I broke my favorite glasses (because I landed on them), grazed the side of my face, skinned my knees, but the worst injury is to my left hand. I think I may have broken something. I’ll think about going to the doctor if it’s not improving Monday. I hate going to doctors.

Anyways, just another crappy thing to happen in a craptastic year, right? And did I mention that the house’s AC unit’s pipe that takes the condensation out of the house backed up and we had a flood in the basement last night? Yeah, that kind of day.

I may go back to bed.

So, I’ll leave you with a puzzle. Enjoy it!

Puzzle-Contest

Solve the puzzle and tell me a story for a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card. Doesn’t have to be long. Have fun!

So sorry to hear about your hand. Please take care of yourself and go to the doctor if you need to. Hands are delicate and if the bones heal wrong, you could have trouble for a long time. Also, the basement flood sucks. Why do things always happen in bunches? I enjoyed the puzzle. I don’t want to be in the drawing for the Amazon card though.

I’m so sorry you had a bad fall. It definitely sucks. I broke a bone in my hand when I tripped on the divider between concrete at my nieces house. I had a bid lump where the break was. I hope you didn’t break yours but sometimes sprains are worse than breaks. Good Luck and feel better soon. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Katherine, thanks. We’ll have to pull up tile flooring. We discovered mold beneath some of the tiles that lifted. Ugh, the joys of home ownership.

Delaine, I know you understand my pain. 🙂

Take care of yourself.. heal! I had a nasty spill a few years ago… cut my leg up badly, it ended up leaving a small lump and scarring just below my knee… lived with bruises and marks for quite a while.
Ah a true vacation… chilling out at the beach… would be so nice.

Oh no! I hope nothing is broken, but definitely get to the dr. if it doesn’t improve.

We had the a/c basement flood a few years after we moved in, so hubs changed the pipe so he can open it easily to clear it. I hope nothing was damaged that isn’t easy to replace or clean up.

I’m a day late reading my mail. i hope by now you are feeling a little better and that nothing is broken. Falling is one of my biggest fears and it’s only gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. Take care of yourself.
