UPDATE: The winner is…Anna Taylor Sweringen!
*~*~*

I love photography, and taking photos of what I see in nature while walking through the woods, around the pond, or at the marsh is more than relaxing, but also refills my muse.  One of my favorite things to see is foxes.

There’s something magical about foxes.  They’re more than beautiful; they’re majestic and there’s an amazing presence about them.

Springtime, as I walk through the woods, I keep a lookout for kits.  If I’m lucky, I’ll catch sight of the young foxes.

Watching kits play is amazing, but the tenderness of the foxes with their kits is incredible.  The love they have for their young warms the heart.

Over the summer, if I’m fortunate, I catch glimpses of the kits growing and soon to be off to begin their own family.

What do you like best about foxes?  If you’ve seen a fox and/or kits, what’s your favorite memory?

Contest

ONE winner will be drawn from everyone who posts on my guest blog post about, ‘Inspiration From Nature – Foxes,’ on Delilah’s blog between 16 October 2020 – 25 October 2020.  The winner will receive a mug and tote.

I’m so thankful to be able to enjoy Diana’s beautiful pictures of creatures in nature on a daily basis. She has a wonderful eye for shooting them at just the right moment, with different expressions, and beautiful surroundings.
Foxes are unique because they seem tame but wild at the same time. They look gentle and inviting in a way one would want one as a pet. Diana’s pictures show their beautiful coloring, their different moods, and frolicking with one another. LI just want to jump in and join them.

I love these photos, Diana! I think I’ve only seen foxes in zoos, but the kids’ elementary school mascot was a fox, so we’ve always had a soft spot for them!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fox in the wild but your pictures of them are beautiful.

When I lived in Ohio we had deer that would come into our yard as well as rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels and the occasional hawk.

We lived in the city, with a freeway running behind our house. A two lane road, and a small wooded area, separated our yard from the freeway. Suburbia definitely encroached on their habitat.
