Ugh! What I’m getting ready for… (Contest)

UPDATE: The winner is…Elaine Ramirez!
*~*~*

This is probably TMI, right?

I thought about creating a puzzle for you to work before you knew what I’d be doing (or was having done to me) tomorrow. However, I’m sure the website I use to create my puzzles would nix it due to the bare butt.

Yes, today, I’m going through the prep stage. I have a ton of meds and Gatorade to guzzle. No food until after the procedure tomorrow morning. This will be my third colonoscopy. And no, it doesn’t get any better the more times you have it done. It’s gross, embarrassing, and not very comfortable. I don’t like that they put me under for it. Do they think I’m a wimp? I’d rather be watching the monitor to see what’s happening. I’m tempted to pull out my DVD of Ghost Town with Ricky Gervais, but my dd might think it’s inappropriate because he dies (temporarily) during the procedure. She’s no fun.

So, why am I oversharing? I don’t know. As a Public Service Announcement to remind you to schedule yours? Maybe to you share my discomfort? Give you a laugh? For a chance to win a FREE download from my backlist, have you had one yet? Comment below.

Yeah. Everyone told me that is was awful but it wasn’t that bad. I figure it just needed to get done so do it.

Oh, man, what fun! Choking down the prep is probably the worst part. Good luck!

I have had one. The prep was yucky, but I can definitely think of worse things!

The second time I did it, the prep was easier but still horrible. I asked the nurse why it tastes sooooo bad. She said if it didn’t people would use it to lose weight!!!

If you are not high risk, you might want to consider Cologuard.

I have had 2, and both times the drink was the worst part of it. No side affects afterwards.

Agreed. I had different drinks both times, and they were both horrible.

Hope you are back to normal by now. The prep is awful but I just think of how this procedure saves lives. I started having them when I was 45 or so because colon cancer runs in my family.

I lost a great boss because he hadn’t gotten checked. It was so stupid as his father had died from colon cancer.

Total sympathy for you. I’ve done this and am due for this again this year but the pandemic and a broken foot have delayed this.

I have had them in the past. Not fun. However considering the diseases it can detect some of which patients are asymtomatic they way worse.
