Books are a favorite either signed, downloaded, free or bought from the thoughtfulness of someone giving you a gift card. Promo items are appreciated to be able to use in enjoying a cup of tea, or carrying your favorite form of reading material iPad, ereader or a printed book.

Signed books are priceless. I feel for the sender though as shipping does cost.
Gift cards are truly generic enough that anyone can and will appreciate them.
Book marks aren’t really my thing. 99.9% of my reading is on an e-reader so the bookmarks I have been given as a gift sit in a drawer.
The other options all have merit and are coveted so they’re all coveted.

I love download of books because not many authors post outside of the U.S and Canada. I’m in Ireland and no physical book stores stock my favourite authors so I download everything 😊

I tend to focus on contests that give away books or gift cards since I am always looking for something to read. I have entered contests for curiosities in the past if it really spoke to me. For example, I won a clay dragon that now sits on my mantle. I even dress him up for Christmas with a hat and tiny wreath.

My first choice is always books. Can’t get enough of them. Gift cards are second because you can choose the books that weren’t given to you. Then mementos like mugs and swag because they bring back fond memories of where you were when you got them.

Gift cards because you can always ensure the person will be happy, it’s always something that never fails. Signed books or downloads of books because it means someone who might not be from the US or who cant afford one will be recieve you copy. And promo items because it always nive to be able to see an item, say in my bookcase and immediately think about the author. Seeing mugs or bookmarks always reminds me of the author making me want to read or reread a book of theirs.

I always ♥️ signed books and handmade jewelry because it is part of the author and promo stuff because it promotes the author. Gift cards so I can purchase books from said author.

I’m interested in the books, but want to know what book I would be getting – it’s very disappointing when the contest is for an unspecified backlist book, and when it arrives I already have it. GC’s are nice because then I can get a book I haven’t read. I’m also picky about “things” to win – I want to actually use the thing, so coffee mugs need to be large, love carry bags (so useful for toting things, especially groceries). Often use a pizza wheel cutter I got from an author.

Gift cards are always good, for anything, but I usually buy books. I do still collected signed books if I can get them. An e-book download is good too. Helps the strained budget. Most of the rest, I don’t wear jewelry at all, although you do make some lovely pieces that I have received. I just think they are better going to someone else who can appreciate and wear them. I quit collecting the bookmarks, again because I don’t use them. I am attempting to eliminate unused items from my house. I did check promo items because some I use, others make nice gifts. Thank you for asking.

Downloaded books are fun, if you are someone who doesn’t like to keep a lot of books around digital is easy and for those who like books and getting them signed like me is always exciting. All my books I have signed are on my bookshelf. Also it’s always fun to win or even buy things like totes and mugs and stuff like that.

I was a bit torn trying to make my #4 decision. Because I love your hand painted bookmarks, but not everyone does them so I had to pick the promotional items. I do love those things, along with signed books, downloaded books & gift cards.
