Today’s post will be short. We’ll find out around noon the extent of the 7-year-old’s cancer. We know for certain it’s returned to her tibia, and she’ll undergo extensive surgery to remove it there. But today, we’ll receive results from the doctor at the children’s hospital from a full-body CT and bone scan so we have the complete picture of her illness.

She does have plenty of people thinking about her. Her Irish cousins have her on the Pope’s prayer list. Her Arkansan grandmother has her on Jimmy Swaggert’s. But more good thoughts, prayers, wishes are welcome.

Real life does provide more drama than fiction.
