I’ve finally graduated from a recliner in the living room to my own bed in my own room. The test was my being able to get myself out of bed without straining my healing belly. I graduated yesterday! Woohoo. I slept with a pillow on my belly in case the cats decided to climb over me. They were thrilled to have their human pillow and back-scratcher back. One chose my shoulder, the other my feet. I didn’t feel used at all with all the purring going on.
I’m up early and will likely head back to bed for a couple more hours of rest, but while I’m feeling up to sitting at the computer, I will.
I chose today’s puzzle image because it’s a house on the edge of the woods, which is our place, and it feels rather magical this time of year. Everything’s greening up—the yard and pasture, the trees in the wood. We have tons of deer coming to drink at our pond in the back. The squirrels love to harass the dogs, running from tree to tree, then quickly circling up the trunks while they bark at the dogs. There are other animals there, but sightings are rarer—foxes, for example. I remember the year we found the injured baby fox and raised it until it was ready to go back into the woods. In another month, we’ll be in the pool every day, watching the birds overhead, and in the evenings, watching the bats as they come out to eat up all those pesky mosquitoes. They really are cool to watch.
Anyways, it’s still dark outside. I wanted to get this post up so it would be waiting for you when you woke up. Happy Saturday, everyone!
For a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card, solve the puzzle and tell me what magical things are happening with the seasonal changes where you are!

Seeing blue skies and sunny days makes me happy. So much easier to remain upbeat and fight back the “darkness and depression” when you feel the warmth of the sun inside of it being dark and gloomy outside!
Read your update yesterday, you were completely entitled to those feelings and frustrations today is when you celebrate that you are here, have amazing support at home and a medical team that cares wanting to provide you with the best chance of being here doing and being with what you love. I get your disappointment and more chemo but you are a bad ass warrior kicking this horrible disease on its head. You are the heroine you’ve written about so many times only a bit more to go and the Happy Ever After is within your grasp. Hold on to that tightly. I truly believe you’ve got this. Been able to turn the tables on what they thought was improbable and more than made it possible! Look how much you’ve already accomplished. You will always be an amazing writer and this journey will give you even more of a resolution to be even more in the YEARS to come. Your legions of fans are here to lift you up in prayer and thoughts of total remission. I hope this message conveys support and not presumptions of how you should/or do feel. Just a little more of the yucky and a lot of time afterwards to love, make more memories and experience the blessings you still have before you. Hugs and prayers, from one of your readers to my fav author, always, T

I always love the puzzles, we’ve got a rainy weekend forecast for us in northeast Missouri, I see lots of squirrels in my yard, and I’ve seen a few deer 🦌 which always surprises me since I live in town and close to a busy highway, you are making great progress and I hope pool time comes soon, happy Easter everyone

I live in town, but that doesn’t stop the squirrels from from checking out every little thing like the loose shingles on the roof. It is fun listening to the scurrying around just above my head everyday. Curious little critters. The robins are beginning to build their nests and singing for mates. They do get raucous. Temps are still a bit too low for porch sitting, but it’s getting there. I am looking forward to that.

My pea plants and my garlic are growing and we are about to plant potatoes. I can’t wait for the garden to be full of life again!

We have church this evening. I’ve prepped dinner for tomorrow afternoon. It will just be Stephen and me. We’ve shared a lot of time together at church. So once I get home tomorrow it will be a quiet restful day. Glad you are doing better and you are in my prayers for continued healing.

Hubby has planted a small garden with herbs in pots to go with the raised garden beds. Plus, he has cleaned up our flower beds and planted 2 rose bushes, lots of marigold plants and several periwinkles. This is the first spring in our new house. We have been able to sit on the patio and bird watch. Hubby won’t let me do more than water the plants I have two black thumbs kill plants left and right.

It’s starting to warm up sometimes, but this evening the fog rolled in early and instead of a sunset, we were cloaked in mist…

The forsythia have bloomed and today the driveway is covered with the bright green seed(?) segments off the trees.

In SW PA, the weeds are growing nicely. My daffodils have bloomed and possibly the tulips. The peonies and day lilies are getting taller and the hydrangea looks like it may come back from the near-dead.
The weather is a yoyo: warm during the day and cold at night. When it is warm out, my furnace kicks off like it is supposed to. However, I am cold, so at night I am under blankets–one of the perks of getting old and side effects of meds.
Despite facing problems, I so want to get outside and play in the dirt. I would like to get the soil dug up and fold in some Epsom salts and fertilizer, but the neighborhood outside cats have discovered my garden and use it as a litter box. I want to dump cayenne pepper on the top where they ‘dump’ but with rain popping through, it won’t do much if it is washed into the soil. So I wait.

Magical NOT even though ice can make something shiny and pretty. We are recovering from Icemeggedeon. Some people were with out power for more than two weeks, and there is so much clean up it’s not funny. Northern Michigan looks like a disaster zone, and worse all the broken trees cause major fire dangers to come.

My house is situated in the woods and surrounded by farms. The Spring has brought the sounds of frogs at night, which is so magical. The only NOT magical part of my area is that the farmers have been spreading chicken poop on their property, and it STINKS!!!

Congrats on your progress! We have been having warmer temps and lots of April showers, complete with episodes of hail and tornado-spawning storms.
