Sunday Report Card

Remember back in May when I told you I have 18 projects to get out the door by January 2, 2013? That list grew a little bit to 21 projects. Currently, it looks like this:

4 3 full-length novels (2 1 paranormal suspense, 2 BDSM) — Shattered Souls, done—and scheduled to release January 8th!
5 3 novellas (1 Delta Heat, 1 Triple Horn Brand, 1 Delta Heat, 1 Femme Noir, 1 Triple Horn Brand) — Delta Heat: Fournicopia, and Triple Horn Brand: Laying Down the Law done!
4 2 short stories — “Red Dawn”, “Johnny Blaze”, done!
3 2 anthologies I have to edit — Smokin’ Hot Firemen done!
3 novels to extensively edit & expand with my sister (it’s a secret!)
1 novella to extensively edit and publish — Dragon’s Desire, edited! Publishing soon!
1 short story anthology to edit and publish — Licks, done!

My productivity slowed down last month, partly because I spent a week in Louisiana having fun, then had to recuperate from all that fun, but mostly because the pool and crafts (pendant-making) just seemed like so much more fun. I’m paying for it this month. Don’t expect to see me much on Facebook or Twitter, except very late at night, because I have to keep my cave door closed.  I am very, very close to having one novella done, have two novels to kick off at the same time, and an editing project I have to pull together this week. Sound like enough to keep me busy and out of trouble? Sheesh!

Guests

If you’ve ever seen the musical, Oklahoma, there’s a character named “Ado Annie” who gets into trouble with men because she can never say no. Well, meet her twin. I really try to keep guests down to three a week so I have time to have some fun here, but I can’t say no when I have such fabulous guests coming. This week, I’ll have the following ladies. Be sure to drop by and see what they’re all talkin’ about!

9/3 — Karis Walsh
9/5 — Jules Bennett
9/6 — Vivian Arend
9/7 — Jane Lovering

The Question

Last week, I asked you what TV show you’d most like to see have a renunion show that had been off the air for at least 10 years. This is kinda related. Have fun!

Which TV show’s cancellation most made you want to howl?

This show has not been off the air 10 years but I’m mad that it was took off the air – The Human Target. I loved that show.

Also, it looks as if you are going to be one very, super busy author. Try to work in a smidgen of fun.

I’d say Facts of Life. It was one of my favorite shows.

I read your blog for inspiration — although sometimes it makes me feel like a completely disorganized nincompoop. Most of the time, it makes me feel that I can do more. I aspire to have your focus and time management skills. Seriously. Good post.

Firefly and Farscape made me want to hunt someone down. I also liked Dollhouse and was sorry to see it end.

I’m not a big television watcher but I was sad when Star Trek: The Next Generation ended. I am tired just looking at your schedule, you are an amazingly productive person!

There was one from last season that won’t be returning that I really liked “Alcatraz” on Fox. Now I will never know why all the people disappeared and then reappeared 🙁

First, I had to think if the show had been off for 10 years. LOL!!!

The Journeys of Hercules and Xena the Warrior Princess. I loved those two shows! Kevin Sorbo was so super yummy in tight leather pants and vest. And all those muscles. Oooh la la. I also like Xena’s show a lot.

The cancellation that made me howl, was V. About the aliens who come to earth in those big spaceships. The were like lizard people.

Ginger, I blew off writing altogether today. Got is a swim with the kids then watched Battleship tonight. Tomorrow it’s back to the grindstone. Never watched Human Target. Guessed I missed a good one!

Angel, we have similar tastes! Although I never got into Smallville, but Buffy and Angel ending made me cry. 🙁

Ily! A disorganized nincompoop? I don’t think so. We just have different ways of approaching the work, I bet.

For me, Nick Knight. This was a Canadian production about a vampire homicide detective. His best friend was the coroner who knew who/what he was. It was based off a movie of the same character that starred Rick Springfield. LOVED the movie and the series!!!

Lisa, I’m with you on Firefly. That cancellation made no sense whatsover, but neither did The Dresden Files. Those studio execs just don’t know a good show when they see one!

Angel, I completely missed Roswell… Now I have to go do a search on my TIVO to see if there are any old episodes to find.

ELF! You will think I’m loca, but I miss the first Star Trek more. Hokey as it was, James, Spock and Bones were fabulous together.

Melissa! Yay, you. But I’d place Buffy above, because the whole Cordy becoming a Goddess kinda annoyed me. She was much more fun shallow.

June! I wasn’t sure that premise would make it, so I skipped it, thinking if it did, then I’d watch.

Julianne! YES! I loved Xena and Herc. Had a major girl-crush on Lucy Lawless. Have her action figure.

Angel, there was this other vampire show set in San Francisco I think where the vamps were like mafia. Can’t remember the name of it, but the actor who played the main character was killed in an accident and the show was cancelled. Such a shame too–he was bee-you-tiful!

Had already gone to bed, but an idea hit me just as I was drifting off. Had to do with those Thanksgiving turkeys kids draw in school and a scene in a book about a witch I’m starting… Anyway, that’s why I’m back at the computer.

Yes! It was bugging me I couldn’t remember what that show was. Kindred! Lord, Frankel was gorgeous. Loved it! Say thanks to your hubby for me!

Mary! Sometimes, I feel that way. I loved the show Monk, but they ended it so well, I feel only a hint of nostalgia for it. Eureka too. I hated to see it end, but it reinvented itself every year and gave me a satisfied feeling when it went. Other shows left so abruptly I wanted to scream. Dresden Files, comes to mind there.

Oh my I adore those magnets, especially the butcher knife one!!

As to cancelled shows… I get MAD all the time about this!

Against The Wall, No Ordinary Family, Chase, Running Wilde, Saving Grace, Scoundrels, $#*! My Dad Says, Stargate Universe, State Of Georgia, Hellcats x12, Huge, The Defenders, Human Target, The Gates, The Good Guys, The Nine Lives of Chloe King, & Vampire High are all just the tip of my mad iceberg of howling cancellation fury.
