Instead of an ordinary window, this one served as a portal to another time and place.

Rebecca watched Logan as he wandered around her apartment. “Would you like something to drink?”
    He smiled. “Yes, please.”
She moved to the kitchen to pour two glasses of lemonade.
It surprised her when he’d asked if she wanted to study for Professor Michael’s finals with him.
Logan stopped before a huge mirror-like painting with black etching. The scene pulled him closer. It was so life-like.
“This is amazing,” he said. “Where did you get it?”
“Passed down in my family for generations.”
He loved the sound of her voice. It was sultry and created a heat in him.
    “What do you call it?”
    “A witch’s looking glass.”
Logan chuckled. He’d heard the stories about Rebecca.
He turned, and she handed him a glass of lemonade. “Really?”
He’d sworn her eyes changed color as she looked up at him.
    “Yes.”
