UPDATE: The winner is…flechen1!
*~*~*
I feel rejuvenated! Yesterday, I began my day by editing some stories and painting my daily challenge pieces. Then the rest of the day was spent celebrating! My dd and my SIL have birthdays just a few days apart, so we held a family birthday celebration. We all dressed in 80’s fashion—my dd wore a fishnet glove and lacy headband with big black jewelry like Madonna; my SIL wore short shorts and a too-big white tank like Richard Simmons. All the girls, including me, had big hair and neon makeup. The 15-year-old made finger foods; we ate cupcakes. Then we spent a good two hours in the pool together. Pure heaven.
This morning, we headed to the flea market—our first shopping excursion that wasn’t a one-person run-in-and-grab or a curbside delivery. We all masked and used hand sanitizer. I sanitized the shopping cart, and off we went. Of course, we found treasures that went straight into the wash and sink when we got home. What was sad, to me, was how few people there took those same kinds of precautions. I really, really wanted to walk up to “the unmasked” and tell them, “You can thank me for my consideration,” (a passive-aggressive move, I know) but I figured it was a waste of breath. π
Anyways, I have an interesting eggsalad sandwich tray that I think will make a great paint palette. The egg wells can hold the paint. The sandwich wells can be a place to mix the colors… What do you think? (Please ignore my messy art table!)
The fish above it was a fun find as well. I have an aquatic theme going on with the art on one wall of my bathroom. This bit of whimsy will go nicely! π

LOL You know I had to do it. Love the egg sandwich holder. Makes a great paint palette.

I love it. Thank you for the puzzle! It was fun to complete. π

6:53 – fun though.

So I didn’t do the puzzle because my brain is scrambled enough, but I did want to comment because I have NEVER heard of an egg salad sandwich tray. Is this really a thing? Do I need to whip out my Google fingers? Because I have never heard of such a thing!!! But to answer you – yes, looks like it will make a great paint tray!

4:35 – All that grey was a challenge. Fun though. Hermione came to my mind first thing. But she didn’t use a broom. That was Harry and Ron’s thing. But Tonks . . . Looking for Lupine. Yeah. That works. π
Love your new paint palette. Interesting piece. I don’t think I have ever seen one like it. But love your repurposing! Awesome.
Tis the season for flea markets and yard sales. My brother opened his this weekend. Or should I say my niece? It is a toss up which one enjoys it more. Seems like just last year though, my niece lamented “Never again. I’m done.” But it is a new season.

Red riding hood lost in woods

5:10. It does look a bit mystical and she looks a bit lost.

Snarky Mom Michelle — LOL! I have no idea about its original purpose, but I did stand there, scratching my head while I tried to name it. Egg Salad Sandwich Plate seemed to fit!

I see a witch in the woods

My puzzle solving skills have gotten really rusty! It took me over 10 minutes to solve. π Looks like some kind of wraith in the woods to me.

I got a Little Red Riding Hood vibe too, I’m sure because of that lovely cloak. But this Red’s grandmother is a powerful witch, and she’s learning every she can from her, so she’s not too afraid of what might come for her in the woods π
