Word Search Puzzle: Spring Cleaning (Contest)

UPDATE: The winner is…Cindy!
*~*~*

I know some of y’all are still dealing with freezing temperatures and snow on the ground, but we’re getting 70-degree weather this week, so our family’s thoughts are turning to Spring Cleaning!

I thought it might be fun to list the things that pop into my mind which constitute Spring Cleaning here on our little farm. We have to get the pool cleaned up, pressure wash the mold and “green stuff” off the outside of buildings, finish preparing the chicken coop for the chicks we’ve been raising—so far, all 18 are thriving! Plus, all the yard and housework that has to be done.

Maybe I left something off the list. Maybe you have other chores you incorporate into your springtime routine. For a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card, tell me if any of the things I listed fit your routine or if you have items you need to add to the list! Enjoy the puzzle!

Sounds like your spring cleaning keeps you busy! Our biggest is cleaning the fenced in back yard that no longer has grass and I actually started on the inside of the house last month. Haven’t gotten much done, but I’m trying. One day at a time with me!

I have so much to catch up on, I don’t know where to start. 26 years working out of town with a looonnng commute daily left little time for things like deep cleaning. Still, when the weather turns warmer I need to pull out some dead tomatoes and prep the ground for my garden. My nephew asks why I spend $$ on plants and the time in the garden when I could just buy the veggies. It’s a generational thing. He doesn’t understand. The planting is part of the enjoyment…

The weeds have been crazy… I can not keep up with it. We will open up our pool in a few weeks… need the rim repaired, it is all cracked. Next month the trees and bushes need to be trimmed. I have seedlings to place in my garden…

We had nicer weather, but a storm coming so I guess that gives me a reason to hold off on outdoor spring cleaning. Although I can’t wait to set out my umbrella and sunchair

I haven’t thought about spring cleaning yet. It’s still cold & snow today & maybe more Friday. So with that possible, I’m not thinking of anything outside. But when the sun is bright during the day, it puts me in a mood to get at things inside. I’m working on closets & drawers…getting rid of stuff I don’t want or need.

Originally my plans were to finish purging the closets and cupboards for the planned yard sale on Memorial Day weekend which would leave me with a nicely clean house. But, this past weekend the decision was made to move. So my yard sale is now a moving sale and everything must go. So much fun!

I don’t have any regular cleaning routine although I’m sure I need to. Right now the house is just overrun with stuff we need to get rid of.

I need to clean out my closet and reorganize my kitchen badly. Each season I make sure to deep clean at least once or twice, but since I’ve been busy and recently lost my grandfather, I haven’t had the time or been in the right state of mind this season yet.

My county does Hazardous Waste Disposal collections in different locations thru out the year – my local one is always in March – so I’ll fill another box with old stuff like oil, non-water-based paints, old cleaning products etc – I’ve gotten rid of a lot of very old stuff in the past so this may be the last year I have to do this for a few years.

I haven’t done much yet because of the weather here but I have alot to to outside. I have gutters to get fixed and cleaned. I have a lot of trees to trim and branches to dispose of. Then I need to see what plants are in the yard and see what I want to add to the yard.
I want to have a small garden so I will see what I can get done. With the house I need to clean windows and some deep cleaning in certain rooms.

I love comparing what we do with what everyone else is doing. Some are busy bees, some are kicking back, que sera, sera. There’s no right or wrong answer here.

The winner of the GC is…Cindy!
