When I was a kid, I loved board games. Of course, we had the multi-board game packages that included chess, checkers, Chinese checkers, Yahtzee, etc. Then we had Monopoly. I personally loved Operation and Mousetrap. As an adult, I don’t have the patience for board games, but I do love a trivia game.
For a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card, tell me what games you loved as a kid and whether you still love board games. Enjoy the puzzle! It’s a picture of one of my old faves.

Monopoly was always a favorite. Also played jacks, pickup sticks and Chinese checkers and regular checkers. Haven’t played to many lately as I spend more time reading or puzzles

As a little kid I loved Candyland and Chutes and Ladders. I still love Clue. Our church has a quarterly game night where people bring scads of board games.

Mousetrap was fun, but we usually played either Monopoly or Life. Now, I like Ticket to Ride!

Mousetrap was fun. My favorite was Sorry.

I loved Monopoly and Life… I will play a game once in a while with my nephew.

I love math board games but I don’t like competitive board games. I find them super frustrating.

We liked Battleship. I used to play more but my brother was terrible and took all the fun out of the game.

Mouse Trap–always wanted that game. We played a lot–my sister and I. As a family, we did Monopoly and a couple of the others. Still enjoy playing, but unfortunately, my sister is blind not and doesn’t live close enough or on a bus line for me to get to her. What we used to do was put 4 or 5 boards from different games side by side. Why stop at 1 game… keep going through them all. THEN, when you get to the end of the last board, turn around and head back to the beginning. Now, reverse the directions, if you can. For example… go up chutes and down ladders. Loads of fun and it lasts way longer.

I loved playing Sorry cause I was never sorry to knock someone back home. On the same line we played aggrevation that was fun as well. As a family there was just us two girl and our parents we never lived close to any other family so we spent numerous Sunday’s spending time together playing games since Daddy worked 6 days a week 14 hour days. He always made sure every Sunday that he spent quality time with us no TV or phone course all we had were a few channels and landlines then, but no matter how long his honey so list was there was always time in there for us. We played a good bit of board games Clue and Masterpiece, but cards were more often than not! Love playing various card games to this day. Your questions always take me back to my childhood treasures. Thank you for that! Hugs and prayers, continued healing and peace, Theresa

I played Scrabble a lot. These days I love Monopoly.

Oh goodness. We played them all, including card games. Cribbage was my favorite card game. Board games, that’s a tougher one because it meant family time. Looking back, that’s what made them all fun. But I suppose, if I have to pick, it would be Monopoly because that was also a favorite will my kids for our family time.

I still have my Stratego game – I also enjoyed & still enjoy the various versions of Trivial Pursuit.

I don’t want to be in line for the gift card but I have a funny story to tell. My daughter is getting married and they created a registry. On her registry were the following games: Munchkin Deluxe, 7 Wonders, The Dating Game, Twister, Risk, Operation. The last ones are in a Book Style packaging. I asked her, did she even know what the Dating Game was. She replied that she didn’t but they would find out. I had the Dating Game when I was 10 or 11, so that would be at least 50 years ago. They have game nights and it rotates places every week or two. They have a great time.
