Mondays? Love ’em or Hate ’em? (Contest)
Monday, April 28th, 2025

UPDATE: The winner is…Mary McCoy!
*~*~*

For me (and I do hear that kind of whiny, raised voice “for me” when I say those words), Monday’s are the first day of my week. My calendars and To Dos start with Mondays. However, my attitude towards them changes the deeper into the school year I go.

In the Fall, I feel refreshed getting up with the kids and seeing them out the door. Then, I feel virtuous as I head to my desk and begin work.

By this point in the school year, I’m eager for summer so I can ignore the week’s beginning and sleep until I damn well want to.

For a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card, where do you stand on Mondays? Have fun with this!

I don’t mind Monday’s, except at work, it pharmacy change over which means they send that weeks medication for our patients, not a problem until I have to check every one of them to make sure they are correct and have what medication is ordered, 52 patients we have and I’m the only nurse so if someone needs something I have to stop, I’m pretty fast until I get interrupted LOL, there was another night nurse but he didn’t want to work with me, thought I was a know it all LOL, I know more than him and being the RN I was the boss at night, sorry for the long post with TMI

For me, it’s just another day. Most of the time, I have no clue what day it is. But with all things, there are exceptions. Today is not a good day. Is it really Monday? Coincidence?

Well, I try really hard to be positive and look at it like it’s a new week/beginning and another opportunity to make a difference. I love my job and I love working however, I love my weekends more since I can read uninterrupted. So, sadly I spend the week wishing it was Friday.

I think when I’m working full-time, Mondays are always a bit of a challenge–I’ve never entirely outgrown the need to brace myself for the work week, and mornings always come too early, especially on a Monday!

You have to have Monday because if you got rid of it then Tuesday becomes the new Monday.

Monday is just another day. The key difference is that more businesses are open than over the weekend.

Monday is just the start of another week when I’ll be taking care of my grandkids & needing to plan dinners for the week, making sure I get anything I need to accomplish those dinners. Some Mondays I’ll just not do too much depending on how the weekend was.

Since I don’t have a regular work schedule, not a big deal for me.
