Let’s play!
I know some of you love the memory games I post, so I had to think about what to gather, art-wise, to make this fun for you. I thought about the abundance of wildlife that is around me on the property, those that wind up dead in our swimming pool, or just down the hill from my home in the swampy fishing hole the locals go to. We try to minimize the number of mice, moles, and frogs that drown in the pool by positioning “lily pads” that provide them a way to climb out of the water… I’ve only seen one bear and one bobcat during all my years here, but they are around us, hiding in the woods, no doubt. I can’t believe I didn’t think of adding a raccoon, deer, squirrel, or opossum! Anyway, enjoy the puzzle!
For a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card, solve the puzzle, then tell me about the wildlife in your area and whether you’ve ever encountered a critter close up!

I may live in town now, but it is a small town in the country and I grew up on in the country. Consequently, with the exception of the gator, I have seen and/or encountered all of these animals. I have had a nest of snakes sun themselves in my flower garden by the front porch. Seen a bear stop traffic to beg for food. Had a bear regularly raid the trash can kept right outside my bedroom window. A bobcat observed us eating dinner from a branch in the tree just outside the dining room window. The mole, the bane of anyone with a yard. You get the idea. And yes, we also have deer, raccoon, squirrel and opossum. Wildlife abounds. Love it.

I enjoy these memory games. We’ve got black bears, wolves, red fox, coyote, squirrels, ground hogs, chipmunks, and snakes. There are also wild turkeys and many kinds of birds….robins, blue jays, cardinals, wrens & others I’m not sure of. I’ve never had an up close encounter but I’ve had a bear try to roll my trash can into the woods with him & he’s broken all my bird feeders at one time. I’ve seen a few red fox on the driveway and roads but just let them be.

Squirrels, rabbits, road runners, snakes and coyotes. The last two at a thankful distance. Although catching and relocating the snake created a bit of community between me and my neighbor.

We have deer, coyote, 13 stripped ground squirrel, squirrels, vole or moles, snakes, skunks, and probably more I haven’t seen.
I liked living on the island with many more diverse critters, but no skunks. We saw fishers, mink, bobcat, lynx, fox, bear, deer, moose, coyote, turtles, squirrels, muskrat, beavers, weasel, and more on the island.

I have all kinds of wildlife in my yard – deer’s, opossums, frogs, gators, lizards, snakes, wolves, bobcats, eagles, hawks, owls, many more birds, raccoons, armadillos, bear, turkey, pigs, ducks, coyote, panthers, variety of turtles, fox, squirrels, otters, fish, rabbits, goats and some I’m probably forgetting. In the back of the neighborhood next to the ranch they have zebra. Down at the boat ramp they have highland cows. I’m a retired Land Surveyor so I have been up close and personal with a lot of wildlife and I had a part time job at the zoo when I was in school. I love the outdoors and animals. I’m always catching animals or taking care of hurt or abandoned ones.

The other week I saw a fox trotting thru my backyard – we have deer (tho haven’t seen them in a while), bear (have been sighted nearby, but I haven’t seen one) and people are reporting a lot of coyote sightings (people are worried about their small pets and children) – there are also rabbits and a groundhog family that usually lives under my shed

Thank you for the game! As for wildlife, lots of squirrels, deer, raccoons, occasionally some bunny sightings… I’ve heard of coyotes and wildcats but have not actually run into any. And alas, loads of mice and rats…

We have skunks, snakes, rabbits, eagles, hawks, falcons, wild turkeys, groundhogs, deer, coyotes, and an abundance of fish (as our rivers have been cleaned up, but may get poluted again if the EPA regs relax)

We have snakes, coyotes, bobcats, javelinas, raccoons, lizards, bats, birds, etc. I had a hummingbird fly right in front of my face and hang around… had to chase off a few raccoons… removed a snake from my backyard… and saw a coyote trot by on the sidewalk.
