Sunday Report Card and Cat Tails Winners!
Sunday, November 1st, 2009

You do know I’m going to make you wait until the end
to name the winners, so read on!

Thanks, everyone, for your enthusiastic response to the Cat Tails polls. Several of you went even farther and offered suggestions regarding the stories that are helpful. I can plot the first one now. I may come back after I’ve started to get your suggestions for possible titles, so be looking for another contest!

What did we wind up with?
Setting: Louisiana Bayou
Scenario: Innocent stranger enters a small, secretive town where shifters rule
Hero #1: Local sheriff in Louisiana parish who protects the secret of his pride’s existence
Hero #2: Bad boy shifter whose job it is to “distract” the human who entered their midst
Heroine: Reclusive author who inherits property from a distant relative and wrecks her car before getting to town

What did I accomplish writing-related this week?
1) I completed first round edits of Raw Silk.
2) I wrote the blurb for Raw Silk and completed the cover art sheet.
3) I completed first round edits of Unbridled.
4) I worked on website updates.

That last one reminds me, you have to go to my Coming Soon page. I have new entries there with links to excerpts for the books that are coming this month as well as blurbs for those coming very soon after that! You’ll want to sample them. And could anything be sexier than the cover for my upcoming release Unforgiven?

They’re nekkid, he hasn’t shaved—can’t you already feel the scrape of those bristles? And they look dirty, don’t they? Makes me think they’ve already been doing it for a while.

For you writers out there, I’ve been pushing NaNoWriMo all week at the Rose’s Colored Glasses loop. If you’d like to join the challenge to write 50,000 words during the month of November in the company of hordes of dedicated writers, it’s not too late to join! I’m psyched!! The first Cat Tale will be among those 50,000 words as well as a new story for Ellora’s Cave and various other projects. Be watching my progress meter bars to the right fill with bright colors as I pound away at my keyboard.

One last note. For those of you in Arkansas, you’ll want to mark your calendars. I’ll be signing books along with several of my writer friends at the Barnes and Noble in Little Rock on November 14th. If you need more information, go take a look here: Booksigning

But enough torture, right? You want to know who won.

All winners were selected by random number generator! If your are one of the lucky four, be sure to send me an email to let me know where you want your Amazon e-gift card sent!

The winner of poll #1 is…Gayle O!
The winner of poll #2 is…Regina!
The winner of poll #3 is…Cathy M!
The winner of poll #4 is…Rasha!

    Congrats to everyone that won.

Delilah- i thought that the Hero was going to be the sheriff who protects his pride’s existence, well according to the poll. Did you decide on the other scenario instead?

    Just wondering…. 😉

Dani! The two heroes went neck-to-neck, so I decided to keep both—the sheriff who’s protecting the pride and the bad boy.

Gayle O! Thanks, and let me know what email addy you want the gift sent to!

Brandy! Well, you’re going to get a shifter story soon!
