Winnerz and a Question
Sunday, December 2nd, 2012

I’m on the downhill slide toward THE END with the sequel to Shattered Souls. So, I don’t have time this morning to write a long love note. I’ll keep this simple. 🙂

The last winner of The Random Act of Winning Contest is…shauntih! Shauntih, to get your prize of a $5 gift certificate from Amazon.com, you have to email me. Congrats, and I hope to hear from you soon!

The winner of yesterday’s contest gets a free download of either Fournicopia or Five Ways ‘Til Sunday. And that winner is…Janice Hougland! Congrats and email me, Janice! 🙂

And here’s today’s burning question. Have fun!

Often times, movie sequels fall short of our expectations. What sequel
do you feel was the best you’ve ever seen?

Wow this one is hard, because not many sequels stand up to the first one… 😛 But I would have to say for me personally the most recent one would be the Twilight movies…

Hard Choice:!: After all there are the Die Hard sequels, the Star Trek sequels, the Bourne sequels and Star Wars sequels not forgetting the Blade, Hellboy and Mission Impossible sequels but, after much thought, I have decided the best one for me is Aliens. I loved that one as it was true to the original concept of the films and was so great with the kick ass action 😀

Crank 2. First, GOTTA love Jason Statham. Second, it’s all over the top.

Again, Jason Statham…. Expendables 2. Both better than the first!

I agree there are lots of sequels that have been awesome and lots that have been a disappointment. But my favorite that I can watch over and over are the Transformers, Star Wars and Transporter series.

Probably not quite the answer you would expect, but one of my favorite sequels is the Underworld series with Kate Beckinsale.I just loved how each was a stand alone and yet connected,my daughter says Twilight and they are both vampire but Im older than her so I like that steam in my books lol

I’m surprised you have time to say hello at all.

    Congratulations guys!!

The THIRD Indiana Jones movie was good – INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE. Numbers 2 & 4 should never have been made. Quelle horreur !

Now my question is: What is the difference between a sequel and a series? Yes Twilight just got better and better, but are they sequels or just part of a series? I can ask the same about Star Wars and Star Trek. We knew when they came out that there would be more. That was the way they were written. Love them all. What immediately came to my mind was “Back to the Future”, but again, sequel or series? Not sure. Sorry to answer a question with a question, but well, in my opinion, the really good 2nd or 3rd movies that I can think of are series. The “sequels” are usually awful so never make it to “series” status. So is that the answer to my question?
