Clips from from RT 2013
Tuesday, May 7th, 2013

I’m back from the 2013 RT Convention! I survived, and I brought back books and goodies to give away. Give me a couple of days to sort through it all and bundle it. I plan giveaways for this site, and the Smokin’ Hot Firemen and High Octane Heroes websites. So be sure to sign up to get the blogs emailed to you so you don’t miss a thing!

The best part of RT is always the people—readers, bloggers, other authors. I saw old friends: Cathryn Fox, MK Merredeth, Eve Savage, and many more than I can think of at the moment! And I finally met in person friends I’ve known on line for ages: Phuong, Sharon Hamilton, Sabrina York, and Sarrana De Wylde. Again, sorry if I didn’t mention you here, but my mind’s a buzzin’ with everything that happened.

I finally met my editors at Grand Central—lovely ladies there! I spent a wonderful evening with Christina B at Samhain. Bianca D’Arc was there with her father, and I don’t think I’ve had a more wonderful dinner companion than Tom in a long, long time. 🙂

If you’d like to take a peek inside the conference, my sister (Elle James/Myla Jackson) was playing with a new app that does these twitter video feeds. I  HATE being on camera. And especially when I have to blabber very quickly. We solved that problem by letting me be her silent sidekick.

See for yourself (they are very, very short). The last one’s my favorite. We filmed it in the middle of a giggle fit. Click on the speaker icon in the upper left corners of the films to listen in.

Hey Delilah, I hope you had a wonderful time at the RT convention. Will you tell us some of the stories that took place there, even if they were not meant for the world to know 😀

I imagine you will be busy playing catchup over the next few days with e-mails or even starting some of your writing assignments.

Next week, I begin my summer classes on economics.

Wesley! I am still trying to catch up. A week felt like forever away from my writing cave. Good luck with the economics class. I remember enjoying it. Weird, I know.

Do you think you will have a chance to try to finish Install 1-3 or begin BDSM-2, this week?

Nice (but brief) clips! It’s amazing how nice and clear they are…if I was filming, they’d be very shaky! Thanks for sharing, looking forward to hearing some of your tales about RT!

Wesley, I don’t think I’ll get to either this week. I have the final galley to read through for one project, and have to edit stories for an antho. 🙁

    Karen! Glad you enjoyed them!

ELF! Wish I have juicy tales to tell, but RT was all bizness!! Classes to teach, to attend, publishers’ spotlights to attend, meet ‘n’ greets with editors…

Delilah,I hope that you and your sister both attend another one of the conventions close to KC, because I have read you longer than any of the other authors that were there and wanted to bad to meet you,but I certainly was not expecting it to snow and was not shoe appropriate and took a fall and broke 3 fingers and sprained by ankle right in front of the hotel.I tried to go in anyway thinking I could stand the pain long enough just to meet you because you got me started on erotic books, one of my friends went in to see where you were located and she said there was no way I would make it there and ended up in the ER instead,it sucked.By the time we left the er and I got crutches, not easy with broken fingers, you were already gone,I could have cried. At least the little video clips gave me an idea of who writes the books I love so much and your sisters too, tell her thanks for doing them because it was all I got to see of you and the tickets were non-refundable so I would have gotten nothing at all if not for the clips that you guys made so Im glad you made them and posted them, hopefully get to see you at some point–in person that is lol
