I’m so tired….

Day 1 of the studio art tour just about killed me. I think 4 carloads of people came through yesterday in the 9 hours we were open. Today, I’m hoping more folks will be off work and we’ll get better traffic. Boredom saps my energy worse than anything. My dd and I sat making earrings at the table rather than sitting idly. Do you like the skull earrings? I think I’ll be scarfing up a pair of the aqua-flowered ones for myself. So cute! Of course, all that trapped inactivity did give us a chance to gossip—never a waste of time. You can  barely see the rock crystal teardrop earrings on the bottom tier, third over. Sooooo pretty. And we made lava bead bracelets for men and two cute little kid’s bracelets. It turned out to be a productive day, so I guess I shouldn’t bitch. Here’s hoping for busloads today!

Hope y’all have a wonderful weekend! What are your plans?

    Hello Delilah,
This weekend I’m going to B&N. Then I’ll spend the rest of the day reading on the couch with my kitties. 😀
I LOVE your skull and rose (pink) earrings. Very cute! And would go well with my blond mohawk and piercings. I also like your evil eye bracelet. One can never have too much protection. 😉 HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! 😈

Hope that today picks up. I absolutely adore the way you’ve displayed your earrings with the teacup/saucers! I would imagine the skull earrings will go quickly :). I agree with you about how tiring boredom can be — it’s like sludging through quicksand. Blech. Again – hope there is an actual CROWD there today!

    Good morning Delilah
Generally Saturday will bring more foot traffic. Cute earrings. I’m having a yard sale. I’ve had quite a few thus far. It’s still early for some here and I expect quite a few later. Another person down the street is having one so I am piggy backing off her.

I’m so sorry it was so slow! I LOVE the way you’ve merchandized your jewelry though; putting it on that ceramic is effing brilliant. I love it. And the earrings are awesome! I think you’re right, that it’s good you were productive; that’s something you can control.

I hope you get busloads of folks today and they buy everything you want to sell! ~hugs~

I often see jewelry items that I like at exhibits such as yours, but am very leery of buying any since I am sensitive to several metals, and I hate to have something I cannot wear because of that–no matter how cute it is!

There is nothing worse than a slow day at a fair! Every minute is like an hour. Great creative spark to make more inventory while you sit there. Here’s to hoping today will be jam packed and your exhaustion will be because you were run off your feet! Here’s to empty boxes in your trunk on the way home…

wished you lived closer to me so I could see your jewelry,I also make a lot of jewelry, the money I make helps to support my reading habit of $300 or more a month, thank goodness a lot of books are free or I would not be able to read so many as it would cost me more like $1000 a month,(shuddering violently) however as much as I love my jewelry I like wearing other peoples stuff they make, not store bought but actually hand made by someone who does it for the love of creating,I never thought to look and see if you have a page where you sell some of your jewelry but as Im typing this it makes me wonder so Im gonna go check that out,and hope you had better luck today then yesterday, the weekends are always busier,Good Luck

I wish you lived closer to me, so I could see your jewelry. I really like what I see in the picture and I would love to have one of the skull earrings. Hope your Saturday brought more people to look at your jewelry and buy some. Hope you have a good rest of the weekend.

Thanks, ladies, for all your good wishes. Only made about half of what we made last year. Found out part of the problem—apparently, someone stole the signs directing everyone to our place! SIL made a mad dash, trying to locate a sign he could use. Traffic started coming this afternoon. Still have tomorrow.

So cute, DD! So sorry that someone stole your signs–how lame! We spent the weekend running about, sometimes literally 🙂 Soccer, dance, basketball, and some running… And some sitting 😀
