Crunch Time… (Contest)

UPDATE: The winner is…Debra Shutters!
*~*~*

Here I am on a Saturday, and it’s crunch time. I have a story to finish in less than a week and two books to edit for another author—also by the end of next week. I feel like a weight is pressing on my shoulders, and my head’s feeling muzzy today, so I’m wondering if I’m about to come down with whatever bug my dd’s family has been fighting. Not good feelings. But I have to push forward. I have DEADLINES!

I also feel the pressure for the upcoming holidays. I have lots planned to do for people, and I’m only getting started. I want to make a ton of things, and you should see the big yarn and cotton loops stash I’ve accumulated, as well as the pile of beads and pretty string sitting on my craft table.

I’m taking a deep breath. One day at a time. One project at a time. Or incremental steps in each, every day from here on out.

So, that’s what I’m facing. For a chance to win a book of your choice from my backlist, tell me what’s weighing you down and giving you stress!

I was in a bad accident in July and I am still in therapy 3 times a week. I want to be back to myself already and it just is frustrating that its taking so long to get there. I am however glad that I can walk as I broke my back and messed up one foot pretty good. It just seems that its taking forever to be able to do things I use to do.

I don’t really have much stress right now. Hubby’s retired and he tripped over his foot stool and fell and hurt his hip, we thought he broken it, but thank god it was only badly bruised. It has taken 6 weeks for him to walk without crutches or a walker, but he’s getting better everyday.

I donā€™t have any stress. Monday Iā€™m hoping some construction for a remodel will start. Iā€™ve been waiting a long time for this to start so Iā€™m looking forward to that. We will be putting in a new window where my kitchen table is, and then weā€™re going to add a closed in porch so that I donā€™t have to go outside to get to the basement. Iā€™ve had a bum knee since the 21st of September. Not 100% sure what I did but Iā€™ve tightened up all the muscles surrounding the knee so now it hurts when I bend it. Today I am going to make chicken and Vegetable soup. Iā€™m also making a batch of bone broth but it takes three days before itā€™s done.
Delilah I recommend that if youā€™re feeling poorly or almost poorly start drinking bone broth you donā€™t have any made you can buy it pre-made in a box from the grocery store. Itā€™ll help you get better or ward off whatever youā€™re getting.

My daughter committed suicide on June 26 and having to deal with that and she had no will so I am dealing with her estate on top of that. I still have not received the death certificate. So my only escape is reading books.

Cleaning out my house and my mom’s house. It can get so overwhelming at times. I look forward to my reading time each day. It’s so relaxing to let go for a little while.

I always used to work better under pressure before I retired. Lately, though, that doesn’t seem to be the case. I’ve taken on more books for review than I should have. Losing Buttons early this month knocked me for a loop that I haven’t quite recovered from yet.

Reading some of the other comments here I feel a bit ashamed to be complaining, though, as things could be much worse.

I know you’ll come through like you always do. Hugs.

We moved and now want to buy something. I hate moving and all that goes with it. Also trying to find something I will like and my husband will as well in a location that suits me. I drive to babysit my grandson and should not have to drive as far as he wants so h e can be close to friends that are only here 6 months.
