Lavada Dee: For Love or Money
Thursday, November 14th, 2019

Delilah, Thank you.

Marketing is a big part of our writing experience and I am horrible at it so really appreciate the opportunity to post on your blog.

I had a hard time selecting a book to present on this blog. Than a friend and fellow author, suggested For Love of Money because it has been a favorite. It also is one I loved writing. When I devised the plot I was enthralled with the movie, Pretty Woman. And, like so many of us do, I played the “what if” game. What if…Richard Gere in the movie had it wrong and Julie Roberts wasn’t a prostitute? Oh my gosh, that opened up a lot of possibilities, and For Love or Money was born.

For Love or Money

Wealthy hotel owner Alexander Colin King wants a child and heir. He is used to getting what he wants, and he wants Megan Moore for the mother of his baby. Alex knows he can make his proposal easier if he takes a more traditional approach, but he will be honest with Megan. No courting, no wine and roses.

When Alex presents her with his business proposal, Megan at first thinks he’s asking her to be a surrogate mother using AI, but he quickly makes it clear he intends to create a child the traditional way. Further, to mitigate the risk of her changing her mind and keeping the child, he insists on marriage with a prenuptial to insure he gets primary custody.

I am a reader first and love unconventional marriages. No wonder I enjoyed writing this one.

Happy reading to all.

I loved this story and the dynamic between the characters. A feel-good read.
