Below is what I posted on my art blog, The Emerald Casket today. Just in case you want to follow along…
I’m not completely satisfied with it. It’s a watercolor on a postcard. I’ll likely revisit it at some later date and fill in the background, but I needed to get something out the door!
This one I’m satisfied with, although I painted on some really cheap watercolor paper and you can see lines in the color. Still, I really like my paint-swatch doodles.
Personally, I think the “lines in the color” add to the piece. Almost gives it the wallpaper sampler look. An added dimension. My humble opinion. Thank you for sharing.
LOVE the metallics – and I agree with Pansy Petal – the lines actually give dimension to the prints – bonus! I also like the outside/inside the lines “color” on your frames – it shows that it isn’t a mass produced item that has been “finished”, but instead is some paint that decided it had either had enough and stopped… or wanted to continue exploring so it went further than anticipated.
