A Christmas (sort of) Puzzle! (Contest)
Monday, December 19th, 2022

UPDATE: The winner is…Sandy Kelly!
*~*~*

I couldn’t help myself. I was looking for a topic to talk about this morning, thought I had one, then went looking for a picture to use and found the cutest Christmas (sort of) picture. I knew I had to use it in a puzzle, but I have to do it this week, so… If you want to know why I love it, you’ll have to solve it!

My topic was going to be about having kids underfoot all week, being covered up in pets (we have 9 dogs, 4 cats, a bunny, and a betta!), and me being driven mad by dog hair, cat puke, and cleaning bunny cages and fish tanks, while, I might add, trying to wrap up several editing projects this week. There’s no rest for a self-employed writer/editor. No vacations allowed! EXCEPT, I think I’m going to Hawaii in July, so I’m giving warning… I WILL NOT BE HELD HOSTAGE BY DOGS, CATS, FISH, RABBITS or EDITS! There. I got that off my chest. Now, let’s play!

Comment about anything at all—topic of your choice—for a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card!

Hi Delilah. Our Christmas won’t be much this year. My husband is sick, and between doctor appointments and getting thru each day, that’s all we can deal with right now. No it’s not the flu or covid, it’s something more serious than that. So this puzzle will give my brain a distraction.

I would love to go to Hawaii!! I feel you about the pets though-we currently have 15 rescues in the house. They are driving me insane!

I’ll have a quiet Christmas – and the weather is expected to be rough at the end of the week, so I’ll watch some Christmas movies & have a bunch of snacks.

Hubby and I are having a Christmas for us this year. We are going to North Carolina for a quiet Christmas. We may have our first white Christmas.

Finally got into the decorating spirit. May have my tree up by Christmas Eve and my packages mailed. I have fond memories of going to Hawaii. My sister took me for my fiftieth birthday. We went to Maui. If you get to go, definitely do the helicopter tour.

Not as near to being done with Christmas shopping and crafts as I would like to be. Plus, weather is turning dismal and part of the family has to take a 2-day time out for a wedding at Disneyland.

    The eyes have it!

We’re both still under the weather with the flu, and the living room is still torn up awaiting the contractors to get the wood-burning stove installed. No tree for us this year. A very dear friend is having her family deliver us some homemade chicken stew with dumplings, for which we are very grateful.

May the holiday season bring you the best of all things, into the new year and beyond.
