New Year’s Day Word Search! (Contest)
Thursday, December 29th, 2022

UPDATE: The winner is…Brenda Rumsey!
*~*~*

I love celebrating a new year in big and small ways. Of course, there has to be a party, even if I can’t manage to stay up to watch the ball drop. We have food and sparking grape juice/wine/champagne. I prepare my new year’s work plan in the days leading up to the big day. I’m always optimistic about my plans. I may not accomplish everything I list, but I do fare better if I have a vision for the year. I know some of you treat the passing of the year as just another day. I get that. It really is. But I like celebrating…well, everything. Any excuse for a happy event. New Years? I’m there. The beginning of another season of Walking Dead? I’m there. The summer solstice? I’m there! Yeah. It’s why I list so many obscure holidays on this blog. 🙂

So, what do you have to do to win a $5 Amazon gift card? Easy. Tell me whether you’re planning to do anything to celebrate the passing of another year? Are you making up a resolutions list? Retiring your 2022 calendar? Big or small. List it in the comments and you’re entered to win! Enjoy the puzzle!

I make small goals, meet them then repeat the process. It’s more manageable

I am working so I won’t really be celebrating, but I might watch the ball drop. I am not really making resolutions, just making a small list of things that I want to mark off my bucket list.

I bought a 50 package of glow in the dark bracelets.
On New Years we make them glow and throw them onto the limbs of our bushes and trees to light up the night.

Every Christmas my Neice/Nephews send me a calendar with photos of the family taken over the prior year – I switch them out from the front of my fridge where I see them every day (several times).

My mom is coming to visit for Friday only. Local grocery just happens to be having a lobster day. We are going to celebrate a day early with lobster and sparkling cider.
Only resolutions are going to be read enough books to reach my challenge goal and do my best to get healthier than I am right now.

I always watch some sort of fireworks, be it the kids show or the midnight show, on TV or in person fireworks are a must for New Years

No resolutions and nothing special planned to see out the old year. I will probably decide on New Years eve what I’m going to do but doubt it will be anything big.

I don’t make resolutions any more. I make goals. This year i am making smaller goals that will be more achievable. Using those goals as stepping stones for larger goal.

Not really big plans…having seafood supper with hubby, daughter, son in law & grandkids. When they go home, I’ll settle in my recliner with a book & something on the tv. I may fall asleep before the New Year is here. If I don’t, I usually don’t even know it’s here because I’m immersed in my book. Don’t make any resolutions really…just hope that the new year will be a little better than the last one, everyone stays healthy and that maybe I can visit with my Dad in Florida one time. Don’t see him often.

Nothing big! The holidays were a bust with everyone sick and the baby in the hospital with RSV. I am just starting to think about resolutions. I shall stay home and watch NY Times Square at midnight

I don’t do resolutions. I set small goals each month and work toward them and adjust as I need to. I feel like resolutions are thrown out in February and easily forgotten. I bought two new organizers for 2023. I can’t wait to see which one sticks!
