UPDATE: The winner is…Debra S!
*~*~*

It’s just a week until Valentine’s Day, so this is the perfect holiday to remind you to get those cards ready! Take time today to write a note to a friend or loved one. Yes, we love the convenience of instant messaging, but a hand-written note can be held and treasured.

So, today, consider mailing a card to someone you care about. I have a hand-painted card to send to one lucky commenter. I’ll only hold this contest open for a couple of days, so enter now!

I’m taking my hubby on a valentines vacation to the beach. He doesn’t usually like cards but maybe I’ll surprise him. 😁

What a lovely card. I don’t send many cards to begin with and this particular occasion does not rank in priority on my fixed income. However, I do have a couple of handwritten notes ready for the trip to the mailbox. I agree that the hand written note is treasured. It is one of my goals for this year to make the time to write at least one a month, if not more. It just happens that these two happen on this occasion. Fate?

Beautiful work as always, Delilah. I was going to say I’d be happy to give the card as a valentine, but no! I’d keep it just for me!

I received a handwritten thank you card recently, and my mother is still on cloud nine about it. She thinks it’s the nicest thing ever. I am going to suggest to family members that they send her written notes from time to time.

That is a beautiful card and idea. I make many cards and send boxes of them to friends & family on the regular. I also am sending a couple of boxes to a nonprofit that sends cards to soldiers overseas.
