Open Contests & My New Office!
Monday, November 9th, 2020

My dd and SIL spent the past two days painting a basement room and moving furniture to create a quiet space I can work in. My dd organized everything because she knows if she left things in boxes I’d dither and doodle and never get anything put away. Here are a couple of pics (terrible ones because I’m a horrible photographer!).

They left me room for more pictures on the wall. That wall will likely be filled soon, floor to ceiling. The desk is a made for two people, so the 7-year-old put her art books and Crayola pens in her drawer for when she comes to “work” with me.

My bookcase is cram-jammed. The center one is all my books. DD says I have to do something about trimming them down. And I will, because I need more toys on the shelves. 🙂 The tubs on the left still have to be emptied, but that’s for another day.

So, what do you think? Will I get any work done here?

Oh I love your new space! You should add some posters with your covers, I would LOL so I could drool over them all day 😀 I am in the process of adding more bookshelves and my DS promised he will make me some too, once he learned how to next semester in woodworking shop that is. Love the magnet decorations, hides the metal filing cabinets, great idea. I should send you a few from Canada too.

I love it. Some people might not like the fact that there is no window but I had a windowless office for over 25 years and I loved it. I was never distracted by the weather and it was nice and peaceful.

I’m jealous because there isn’t room for a proper “office” in my mobile home.

    Enjoy!

    Colleen, thank you!

Eniko! How lovely to have a son who’s handy! Thanks for offering to send me magnets—I have a ton! I have one Canadian bear among them. 🙂

Susan! My sister hates the location of my office because she needs sunshine or she gets depressed. I love a mole hole. Like you, I love that there’s no outside distractions.
