Brand New Contest!
Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

I love to shop. Not for clothes or shoes or groceries. My thrills come from acquiring jewelry (junky and fine), office supplies (I know there’s a fetish in there somewhere), and anything of a medieval or paranormal bent. Which is precisely why I own two large jewelry boxes, why one wall of my office is crammed floor-to-ceiling with every imaginable office machine, stacks of notebooks and Post-its, and why the rest of my office has figurines and pictures of dragons, fairies, and knights cluttering up every surface.

My obsession has led to my friendship with a woman who owns a tiny specialty shop in town. She keeps an eye out for things she knows I’ll dig. This week, I came home with a grocery bag full of things I bought just to share with you. I had to have them all, but I have no where to store them. So I figure that if I offer one contest a week for some really random prizes that you might poke your head in the door pretty often to see what’s up, and I’ll have found a use for SOMETHING I’ve bought!

Here’s this week’s prize:

The journal is covered in a short velveteen; the pages are a nice thick stock; and the image is one of two female fairies, one light and one dark, the tips of their wings interwoven. Very pretty. And very, very hard for me give up because I want it!

What do you have to do to win? Just post comments wherever I am blogging—this includes my daily blogposts that show up on Facebook. The more times you post, the better your chances to walk away with this lovely journal.

So, post a comment here and you’re entered. Come visit me at Everything Erotic where I’ve posted a short story and you have a second chance! This contest will end next Tuesday when I’ll reach into my bag for the next random prize. Good luck!

    I even retweeted. :p

Love that journal! It looks like stuff from our local metaphysical store. I love that place, too, but I go when I have NO money. :p And dragons, huh…… I have a couple dragon statues, one being a purple-y pink. I also have a dragon hour glass with red sand. I even have a red Chinese style dragon out on my front stoop, watching the house. And gargoyles? My next fave!!! I have a midsided stone one next to the dragon, as well as 3 smaller ones watching over the driveway. Heh…I even have a gargoyle snow globe. 😉 It’s weird, tho. It plays Teddy Bears Picnic. 🙄

I want it! But it will be in a good cause as I would give it to Ayla as inspiration for her novel writing 😀

Oh and if you like buying jewellery you would go down great in my house as DH makes the most wonderful stuff for sale 😀 Look here, isn’t it beautiful? : http://www.facebook.com/media/set/fbx/?set=a.10150104982804727.294585.728289726

    Delilah,

I really wanted to comment that you and I must have the same mother. I’m a jewelry hog with a massive collection consists of fine, costume and cheapo stuff – anything I can get my hands on. I have a least 5 jewelry boxes. I LOVE buying notebooks and other office supplies and equipment which I’ll never use AND I’m a medieval nut (ask me about my novel, The Broken Sword, a contemporary take on the King Arthur legend) … WHEW! We’re kindred spirits. So of COURSE I have to enter this contest to now help YOU rid yourself of your office stuff so I can add to MINE!! 😈 Oh, and the faeries are an added bonus! *muahahaha*

Carlette! I sooooo want to dig into your jewelry boxes. My SIL and I are both jewelry whores. We’ve started going through our collections and putting together CARE boxes for each other of things we don’t wear often but think the other might enjoy. It’s like Christmas when a new box arrives. 🙂

*be still my heart* My girlfriend and I do the SAME thing. Okay so now I’ll have you in mind too when I make new acquisitions. LOL Tis the season, hon – outdoor flea markets, estate sales, yard sales….weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! A whole year’s worth of jewelry to be picked through. I’ll keep you posted. Is there any particular piece you’re more attracted to? Turquoise? Silver? Pewter? 😈

So, I had to come here, too, and say THANK YOU DELILAH!!! You’re the bestest AND the awesomest (if I was a writer, I would make up my own language lol). And i’d love ya even if you didn’t publicly talk about jiggly sticks!! 😈
