UPDATE: The winner is…Gail Siuba!
I know, I know what you’re thinking. You’re going to talk about toes?
Well, I wasn’t. I was going to talk about how the summer is winding up quickly. Yes, it’s August and we’re still having really hot temperatures, but the days are shorter, and I can tell it by the temperature of the pool. Although we have 90-degree days, the pool temp is 85-88 degrees. Very comfortable, but in two or three weeks, I won’t be able to swim in the morning because I’ll have to wait for the pool to be its hottest in the late afternoon sun.
Anyways, I’m not going to talk about the waning summer. No, I pulled down a picture meant to start a conversation about the remaining lazy days of summer, and I found this one. The woman has gorgeous, soft-heeled feet, a pretty pedicure, but I got hung up on her second toe and that curved fourth toe. Now, don’t get me wrong. I would be happy to have feet that look that good. I have a huge hammer-like big toe and stumpy little toes. Because I’m barefoot Spring through Fall, I have thick calluses that the guy at the nail salon groans over when I walk in the door. He goes straight for the potato peeler to trim those hooves.
Still, that picture got me thinking about feet in romance. I realized I never talk about feet because what is there to say? Yes, I know some guys have feet fetishes. But I don’t write that. I couldn’t write a scene where a guy sucks on a toe because I remember from my far away (very, very far away) childhood what feet taste like.
So, the question for you today, should you choose to answer it for a chance to win a download of your choice from my huge backlist, is…are you as turned off by feet as I am? Do you have huge big toes and stumpy little toes? Long-ass second toes or callused hooves? Have fun with this!
I’m not turned off by toes/feet but I’m not turned on by them either. I think it’s so interesting how different feet are from person to person! People used to make fun of me and say I had monkey feet. I figure they were jealous because my feet were super bendy. Made me a fabulous climber!
Toes don’t worry me either way I just know that every summer I end up with callouses all over my feet Like most Aussies I spend a lot of time barefoot every year I swear I will use foot cream etc and every year I forget and the heat cracks my heels etc
Feet and toes don’t bother me really, but they don’t turn me on either. I have really rough heels that I hate and I have to soak them (plus scrap them off and add lotion).
Toes and feet are not in my favorite category. I have wide feet and toes that are normal.
not into feet… I need to deal with my heels… cracked
Feet don’t bother me but I’m not in to them either. I have the big toe is okay, the next 2 toes are longer than the big toe and then the 2 smaller ones are really small because they all have had a bone removed. Since I retired I don’t wear shoes or sandles unless I have to. Then I wear Teva’s everywhere. I don’t care that my toes aren’t pretty or perfect but I polish them and show them proudly.
Toes…I have feet very similar to the picture you posted, if not almost identical. I have my father’s feet & hands. They’re just a little manly. LOL. I like most women have some callus but it’s not too horrible, I try to keep up weekly.
I’m not ‘into’ feet, but I do need them to get me around to here & there. LOL
The winner of the download of her choice from my backlist is…Gail Siuba! Gail, be sure to email me with your choice at firstname.lastname@example.org!
Our 17-year-old has toes like that too. 🙂
